Researchers have reported that supplementing a diet with the sea organisms Ascidiacea, also known as sea squirts, reverses some of the main signs of aging in an animal model.
These sea organisms contain substances called plasmalogens, which are vital to our body processes. Plasmalogens are found all over our bodies naturally, particularly in the heart, brain and immune cells, but as we get older, the amount in our body decreases. This loss is also a characteristic of several neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
The researchers studied the effects of adding plasmalogens to the diet of aged mice.
They found profound effects on the learning abilities and physical symptoms of these mice.
Professor Lei Fu, says: "Our research suggests that plasmalogens may not just stop cognitive decline, but may reverse cognitive impairments in the aging brain. Additionally, aged mice fed with the plasmalogens grow new black hair that is thicker and glossier than aged mice not fed the supplement."
Synapses are a fundamental part of our neural networks and, therefore, crucial for learning and memory. Our synapses tend to be very plastic as children, but they decrease in number and deteriorate with age and in neurogenerative diseases, resulting in cognitive impairments.
A further characteristic of getting older is inflammation in the brain. Too much inflammation can have a negative effect on cognitive ability, as the brain's immune system becomes overactive and turns on itself, attacking neurons and preventing synapses from functioning correctly.
In this study, the inflammation in aged mice was greatly decreased in those given plasmalogen supplements compared to those on a normal diet, providing some insight as to why they performed better in learning and memory tasks.

Just ordered a bottle and will go head to head with Cajun Sunshine!

Sorry to share the (possibly) bad news about Phosphatidylserine

Thank you.
My wife has the early stages, short term memory problem, panics when under stress from something she does not understand, etc.
Wonder how much one would need to eat at each serving? Probably more than reasonable.
Thanks.
I’ve had the squirts before and didn’t like it. It made me uncomfortable.

seems like it’s worth a try. If you go the study that I linked it seems it works best with beginning dementia and under a certain age. I think 77

sea squirts:
About 3,000 species of tunicate exist in the world’s oceans, living mostly in shallow water. The most numerous group is the ascidians.
One of the largest is a stalked sea tulip, Pyura pachydermatina, which can grow to be over 1 meter (3.3 ft) tall.
Bkmk
Yeah but you have to eat sea squirts
I love clams and oysters and shrimp and lobster. Such odd creatures...but to die for!!
Ummmm...do they have them in pill form??
Maybe they could just tell the feminists to eat the sea squirts since they’re on a sex strike.
With enough Cholula.
If you can get away with it while it’s still in the Grizzly you’re strong enough.
I haven’t seen a sea monkey ad since shrimp ramen became popular.
