True, that kitchens aren’t sterile, and that’s why we sterilized the homemade formula in the bottles in boiling water for some length of time (20 min. maybe, don’t remember.) But do you remember the Unit we boiled the water in? Big metal pot with a divider inside that held 6-8 bottles. Fill the bottles, place inside, bring water to boil, sterilize, cool then refrigerate. EZ.

I can think of a few things this story may be hinting at.
1) it’s just what it is and he’s getting up in years so has a health issue
2) he’s starting to get pushback from a greater number of the party and this is the first word to the regular people that he might be ‘replaced’.
3) false story to see who attempts to take advantage
4) planted story to attempt to weaken him from another govt/power outside china
