Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Wow. This day has had no end of surprises. Well, I mean, I hope this is it. I was charged for six vials of albuterol sulfate and was only given one. No wonder I’m leaving Walgreen’s! GAH!!!!

Evening! We had a nice day at the South Carolina Zoo. We would have stayed a little longer, but a thunderstorm blew up and rained.
I’m eating some leftovers, and then I’ll have a shower.

Still waiting for Walgreen’s to call back. I’m going to have to get ugly with them. They have overcharged me $300+ since I moved here and I really want that money back. More on it tomorrow, since it doesn’t look like anything is going to be done about it today.
The birthday card from Charlie showed up today and there was a note inside. I was really surprised that he wrote! What I wasn’t surprised at was the card — it had a frog on it! :o])

I didn’t want to get up. Again. Just that little bit of activity yesterday was enough to wear me out.
Today will be a nothing day. I think I need to make an order from Walmart because it’s for sure I won’t be driving there.

It seems someone is asking me for a favor. Maybe this will be fun. Maybe I’ll be too busy, like I was yesterday. We’ll see.
This will be a long weekend so I don’t know if I’ll make it by on Monday or not. Mrs. ArGee is getting less and less patient with her parents. She may need a break. Unfortunately, most of the stress falls on her.
