Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

w00t, thank you and g’orning!
A drive-by g’orning to y’all!
G’orning to you! I was just out on the sidewalk, saying my prayers with cats and birds.
I hope you have a great day!
I hope you have a great day, too!
Well, the rats don’t always stay underground. But they rarely need to go into dwellings. There’s plenty for them to get on the street. Little kitty will almost certainly see mice, but maybe not rats.
w00t!
Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
We haz rain. And then temps heading up into the 95 range for the weekend. That is SRSLY messed up. SRSLY. It actually snowed here last month.
Oh well, another day, another

But I’m off my roll, unless it’s a hoagie roll.
I heard there were large ones in NY, but I’ve seen some large ones in LA as well. I don’t like rats!
Kitteh is ready for the day.
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
FS finally got back to me. This morning. *yawn* He’ll be coming over today and leaving me with the truck. Wonderful. I’ve forgotten how to drive.
W00t!!
Took me a while! LOL!

I’ve seen some large ones in NYC, but usually scurrying away under something or rummaging around on the subway tracks.
We had one that used to invade our office when I was working with Sanitation (yes, irony is ironic) that the guys who worked between 6 and 8 used to see. They finally trapped that one and disposed of it.
I’ve often wondered if one of those clever robotics firms could create a thing that could roam the tunnels and inject any rats it found with poison. Just one of those random fantasies I’ve had that might make an interesting sci-fi plot.
Good morning. I have to run off to Walmart to get more Kleenex and some snacks for the Monopoly tournament.
Maybe they’ll have Diet Cola.
I have to sort pills in a bit. Lucky me!
When FS comes, I’ll have him help me with the rug and sofa, to finish what I started yesterday. Then I’ll feel somewhat at home!
I stumbled along... but stayed alive...

Good! That’s important.
The young mockingbirds are out of the nest. They were all sitting on the fence screaming, “Mom! Mom!” while the adult brought them peanuts and bugs. They hopped back up into the juniper tree in the neighbor’s yard when I went outside.
Good job!
Happy Friday Eve!
