Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

The gift from FD came but I completely forgot that she wanted me to open it tomorrow at FS’s place, and I opened it here. I understand, of course, why she wanted it to be done there. She even contacted him and asked him to do a video of it.
I tried to put everything back the way it was, but it may or may not work. My so-called brain.

The USPS Informed Delivery said there was a card from Charlie in yesterday’s mail, but it wasn’t there. There was, however, a card from one of my nephews and his wife in Central Utah that did show up. The mail delivery here seems to be on and off.
But that’s beside the point. I don’t want to Adult today. I want to stay home.

I’m dreading the rest of this day. I’m hoping PW has put everything in writing to cut down on my confusion for the next three weeks.

They’re too selfish to have pets of any kind, so that’s not even in the equation! LOL!
They can give the kids oral instructions, but I want them written down. I’m also going to make it clear that I may not always feel like spending too much time there, and they’ll ALL have to deal with it.

On your behalf, I’m annoyed that they expect you to spend time minding their house, as if you’re a servant. If it’s that important, they could hire a sitter.
And of course they have to write the instructions down, in detail!
I’ve decided that they aren’t worth getting annoyed at for any reason. As my mother would say, “They make my Tired ache.”
So I’ll go there when and if I feel up to it. And I’ll remind them of that today.
Now, I’m going to go take a shower and hope the water is hot.

The water wasn’t as hot as I wanted, but it’s probably my fault for not running it a third time.
I forgot to tell you I’ve already received a “recertification” packet for OCTOBER!! Usually, we’re reminded six weeks ahead of time, but I guess AR thinks if you’re over 60 you need reminders for everything. GAH!
