Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Dang it - no, I missed the meteors.

I actually hit a 3-spot both Sunday and yesterday. I probably should have hit a 3-spot this morning but in my 3rd word I didn’t include a letter that I knew should have been there so I wasted a guess.

The real question for evolution is why did we give up everything that got us to the top of the food chain once we got there? We’re to slow, too weak, and too big to really fend for ourselves if we ever lost the brains advantage. And our camo isn’t worth squat.

It sounds like an enjoyable day.
I can eat ice cream at any time, winter or summer!
Walmart used to have some reasonably-priced organic chickens but I think they were local. I love roast chicken! I may have to put one on my list for this week and get it roasted up. No crockpot, this time. I want the crust!

Memorial Day was quiet, as they always are, but that’s OK. I’ve learned, over the years, how to entertain me on holidays as well as non-holidays.
But I’m always happy to hear how other have spent theirs.
SO happy Princess Dog didn’t have a seizure.
Good job on the Wordle!

Roast chicken ...
I’ll have to think about it.
I went to Weight Watchers. Oh, look, here are James and his hair. I thought maybe he was dead.

I read somewhere that those roasted chickens were a good bargain. They’re actually loss-leaders to get people into the store so if you just want the chicken you get good food for a relatively low price.

I can eat ice cream at any time, winter or summer! Wait, what??? You have to get permission?
It's Joe Biden, isn't it. He wants to control everything.
OK, where does one go to get one's year-round ice cream eating permit?

Yes, there was a recent article on the rotisserie chickens that some stores offer, and the stores are taking the chance that once a person has got to the roaster kiosk, they’ll have to buy something to go with it. Works for me!

I was happy to find that I had lost another two pounds, down from the four I gained recently. I really have to stop eating at other people’s homes...😎

Yes, James gave up the other James to make room for hair. My goodness. What a tradeoff.
