O’Reilly was outraged because his flight to the Turks and Caicos was apparently delayed at JFK airport for five hours, without much information given to the passengers.
The former Fox News host can be heard saying in the video, “What you’re gonna do…it’s three hours late…No, no, no, You’re gonna find out,” while jabbing his finger at the airline employee.

I never understand these wealthy people who insist on living in urban dumps like NYC with Third World infrastructure and living conditions … and then have the audacity to complain when the place function like — well, a Third World dump.
Why would a guy as rich as OReilly fly Jet Blue?
His job was to do something.
If he cannot do something then why does he stand there as a representative of Jet Blue? If the employees of Jet Blue are not to receive the natural consequences of their service policies, then who is?
If you Codeflier want to pay your money to people who then refuse to provide the service you have paid for then that is certainly your right, but if I do not wish to do that, why does that make me a scumbag?
BOR’s mistake here is in assuming that the peon is not doing his job. Jet Blue could have provided a way for the customers to complain that would mean something, but I strongly suspect that he would lose his job if he did THAT!
You somehow know that BOR is a scumbag and that Jet Blue is not. I really do not understand how you come to that conclusion.
If you are going to complain about "customer service" ask yourself what kind of customer you are.
Well we don’t know the details, but for me, it’s reassuring that some men still know how to express themselves in a manly fashion!! And I’d say if he unloaded that bad, I’d bet a Benny it wasn’t because of his self righteousness...
Someone down the line must know whats going on at any given time. Airlines could save their desk employees alot of abuse if they would just do better than show ‘delayed’ at the last minute on their flight information display board.
Besides, BOR has the money to hire a private jet.
No gripes among the passengers there, as I remember it.
Of course.
I think he came to the conclusion BOR is a scumbag based on his history of acting like an arsehole, especially to the “little people “.
You can’t look at this incident in a vacuum. BOR has a history of verbal abuse including to his own children and ex wife
Bill should use netjets and fly private and chill
62 posts and someone FINALLY ASKS THE $64 QUESTION!
After 3 hours, Why didn’t he just go to another airline?............
So he had no power to give the people any information and refused to do anything to let the people talk to someone who would give them some information.
It is a shame the passengers don’t meekly submit to their betters.
How many were flying to the Turks and Caicos that day? Probably none.
Yup!!!
O’Reilly is right. And shame on anyone who puts up with this bs so called customer service. It’s out of hand everywhere! O’Reilly has the balls to call it out as we all should.
~~~
It only makes sense if you are the kind of person who needs to blow off steam and attack people to make your infantile ego feel better.
I do not work in customer service, but I deal with people a lot. Only a few times over many years have people started to get belligerent with me. I don’t take it. I almost always ask if they actually think i am just going to get rolled over like that. I’ll as explain as calmly as I can (because I usually just want to punch them in the face) that I am on their side, but it’s not my job to take your abuse. What exactly would you like me to do to solve your problem?
That’s pretty mild by O’Reilly standards.
“3 hours in line to get through the security?”
When was the last time you flew? I frequently fly out of LGA, EWR, ALB, BDL, DEN, and PHX. My last two flights were in late March and Early April. I was through security at LGA and PHX in 5 minutes with TSA Pre-Check. The wait without TSA Pre-Check was about 15 to 20 minutes. In my observations, the biggest security delays are not caused by over-zealous TSA agents, but by dumbass travelers who get in the wrong security line, don’t have their boarding pass and ID readily available, or can’t (or refuse) to follow simple instructions like taking off their coats and jackets or emptying their pockets before going through screening.
His pompous rantings are why I stopped watching Fox News years ago. He’s too abrasive.
But this would not have made it into the news if a democrat had done it.
