Trump is not rich enough to do this. How I wish Elon was an actual conservative. Even if he is just a libertarian who leans conservative on economics, he has the cash to be a huge thorn in the left’s side.

I see a lot of corporate real estate near me that is just empty.

At the same time, I am aware of a lot of people more or less “living in their parents’ basement” because rents are high.

Seems like an obvious solution: convert abandoned cubicle farms into cheap housing.

Here in New England, we used to have very large brick textile mills. They ended up abandoned as the work moved to cheaper areas. Then people converted the old mills into loft apartments and luxury condos.

I think they should re-visit that sort of thing, but skip the “luxury” aspect — just give people a place to live. Where I am, most of the homes cost about a million, and this is why young people live in their parents’ basement.

I don’t know how long it will last, but I am quite enjoying Musk’s roll as public tech troll.

I love it. I hope this kind of self-examination by social media and then news organizations spreads quickly.

Imagine News organizations that bash restraining the flow of illegal immigrants, had a Board of Directors member demanding they open their lobbies and cafeterias to illegal immigrants. Imagine a news organization that promoted cutting police budgets in half, was forced to remove the locks from its doors, turn off security cameras and not ask for the police when they were overrun with street crime.

Imagine a large firm with a major retail brand image that cam out in support of transgender being able to use any bathroom they choose, or in all multi-stall bathrooms being unisex bathrooms. Then imagine what would happen if all the bathrooms in the corporate offices were converted to public unisex bathrooms, starting with executive bathrooms and working their way so that ultimately the homeless or public could use any and all. I wonder what that would do as far as a hostile work environment within those companies?

Forcing people to walk their talk would be wonderful to see.

High Tech companies doing virtue signaling on homelessness or gay rights, being forced to live with the consequences up close and personal would be very interesting to watch and sobering to the leadership of those firms.

A guy so rich he can buy 10% of a self-important company like Twitter, just to poke fun at them. Plus they have to put him on their board too!

I don't think he is the majority shareholder of Twitter as the article says. He is the largest shareholder. To become majority shareholder you need to have over 50% of the shares. Musk has about 9%??

At least that is how I understand it.

This is too funny! I am sure that the Wokesters at Twitter will be all for this!!

If they critique Musk, that means that they are anti-homeless people and should be cancelled from any digital platform.
