New majority Twitter shareholder Elon Musk issued several polls to his millions of followers on the social media platform on Saturday.
The outspoken Tesla CEO, known for his social media antics, initially asked if he should transform the company's Silicon Valley headquarters into a homeless shelter, before suggesting the removal of the letter 'w' in Twitter.
In the first post, Musk - who purchased a 9.2 percent stake in the social media giant earlier this week and was subsequently named to the company's board of directors - seemingly took aim at the company's lax remote working policies, saying he came up with the plan 'since no one shows up anyway.'
So far, the results of the 24-hour poll, posted at 9:30 PM ET by the billionaire businessman, suggests overwhelming support for the prospective undertaking - with 91.1 percent of more than 923,459 respondents voting in favor of the plan.
The second tweet about deleting 'w' saw Musk give two options without no as an answer, with 55.8 percent saying 'yes' and 44.2 percent 'of course' of 445,158 votes to-date.
It comes weeks after Twitter brass - who offered staffers the option of working from home 'forever' during the pandemic - reopened its offices March 15, with remote work remaining an option for staffers.

Imagine News organizations that bash restraining the flow of illegal immigrants, had a Board of Directors member demanding they open their lobbies and cafeterias to illegal immigrants. Imagine a news organization that promoted cutting police budgets in half, was forced to remove the locks from its doors, turn off security cameras and not ask for the police when they were overrun with street crime.
Imagine a large firm with a major retail brand image that cam out in support of transgender being able to use any bathroom they choose, or in all multi-stall bathrooms being unisex bathrooms. Then imagine what would happen if all the bathrooms in the corporate offices were converted to public unisex bathrooms, starting with executive bathrooms and working their way so that ultimately the homeless or public could use any and all. I wonder what that would do as far as a hostile work environment within those companies?
Forcing people to walk their talk would be wonderful to see.
High Tech companies doing virtue signaling on homelessness or gay rights, being forced to live with the consequences up close and personal would be very interesting to watch and sobering to the leadership of those firms.
I know Musk isn’t a conservative, and he has some bizarre aspects to him, but...he is smart, accomplished, and apparently dislikes Leftists and makes them squirm.
I will accept him as an ally at this time!
A guy so rich he can buy 10% of a self-important company like Twitter, just to poke fun at them. Plus they have to put him on their board too!
Funny stuff. Are they going to cancel him?
Every time I hear howls of anguish from the Left when he tweaks their noses or pokes them in the eyes, I grin a genuine, non-Internet grin.
He is a bizzaro, megalomaniac, suck-off-the-government-teat, evil Bond villain.
I’ll take him. He is moving closer to privatized space flight and torturing the Left.
Hahahaha...”Titter”!
If there is one thing...ONE THING...that completely drives Leftists crazy, is not taking them seriously!
“Titter!”
“Funny stuff. Are they going to cancel him?”
Nope. When you have a 278 billion dollar net worth and are the richest person in the history of mankind, you get to do the cancelling, not the other way around. lol
At least that is how I understand it.
If they critique Musk, that means that they are anti-homeless people and should be cancelled from any digital platform.
Correct, currently he is the largest shareholder with 9.2% of the stock but not a majority shareholder. He initially filed with SEC that he was a passive stockholder. But last week he refiled that he is now an active stockholder with an intent to acquire more stock to potentially take over Twitter. He has enough money to buy it 10 times over.
Every 6 months or so I look at Twitter and reconfirm my initial conclusion that there is nothing there.
He should just shorten it to Twit.
