New majority Twitter shareholder Elon Musk issued several polls to his millions of followers on the social media platform on Saturday.
The outspoken Tesla CEO, known for his social media antics, initially asked if he should transform the company's Silicon Valley headquarters into a homeless shelter, before suggesting the removal of the letter 'w' in Twitter.
In the first post, Musk - who purchased a 9.2 percent stake in the social media giant earlier this week and was subsequently named to the company's board of directors - seemingly took aim at the company's lax remote working policies, saying he came up with the plan 'since no one shows up anyway.'
So far, the results of the 24-hour poll, posted at 9:30 PM ET by the billionaire businessman, suggests overwhelming support for the prospective undertaking - with 91.1 percent of more than 923,459 respondents voting in favor of the plan.
The second tweet about deleting 'w' saw Musk give two options without no as an answer, with 55.8 percent saying 'yes' and 44.2 percent 'of course' of 445,158 votes to-date.
It comes weeks after Twitter brass - who offered staffers the option of working from home 'forever' during the pandemic - reopened its offices March 15, with remote work remaining an option for staffers

Funny - but if all he’s going to do with his ownership is troll and things continue as normal, I’m not much interested in keeping up with his story. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Love that he’s rattling lib cages.......WAY overdue for these people to get the sharp end of what they’ve been doling out for so long.
Keep it up Elon!
Patience my friend....he just got there.
Jack Posobiec just got a 12 hour suspension for calling Disney “child groomers”
So far it looks like no changes
I still work remotely and like it. I am not a lib. I am just lazy and appreciate the commute time I save.
Musk is turning twatter into a parody of itself. Hilarious.
I’ve been 100% remote for 2 years but am now returning to the office one day a week. I like it. Some balance.

I think it’s a matter of Twitter ‘enforcers’ all being extremist far leftist wannabe-dictators.
There needs to be cuts in pay & demotions for such viewpoint discrimination and requirements to work at the physical location for such offenders so they can be personally retrained. Or fired, if they are repeat offenders.
Trump did far more trolling than actual accomplishments. He did some of the latter, buy mostly trolling on Twitter.
And that isn't all bad. Trump's trolling pushed some issues (immigration, non-intervention in foreign wars) into public conversation. It forced others to talk about those issues. And it showed supporters that they were not alone in supporting those issues.
Change begins with public conversation. It shouldn't end there. But that's where it begins.
I have seen the Twitter building. It’s at the intersection of busy city streets in downtown SF. Poopville is not far. I can’t imagine employees living far out in the valley wanting to commute there everyday driving through nightmarish traffic. No wonder Twitter was the first to go permanently remote.
I work (or did work) near the Twitter building in SF; it had an excellent food court (poke bowls, etc).
I’m back in my office one day a week and will check out the food court soon to see if any of them made it through the pandemic. . .
I hope Twitter staff return a bit if only to liven up/professionalize the area. SF needs them back.
Indeed he knows their worth and the problems they cause and how to repair it.
Musk is only allowed a maximum of 14.9% of Twitter’s stock to sit on their board. I doubt that much will change.
Elon and DaisyJane, my cat, follow each other on Twitter. He’s really fun and funny and oh so smart. Not everything on Twitter is about politics. I am part of @catsoftwitter. We have other cats as friends.
Our fave kitty is Putin, a one-eyed Brit black cat whose dad works on the oil pipeline in Russia. They are very very funny.
Elon can turn Twitter into a cat sanctuary for all I care.
And that does, indeed, make him the largest shareholder.
He’s been there for three days.
WTF should he have done already, in your opinion?
He’s the biggest shareholder so he has the rest of them over a barrel, but he can’t just snap his fingers and make things happen.
Only a childish idiot would demand it.
So how many companies are you the major stockholder in, since you seem to know so much about it?
hedge funds and Musk have a majority share.
You can’t discount that he also runs Tesla which also has hedge fund involvement.
Musk is not going to be a passive investor thus the change from the 13g. In my opinion, he was never going to be a passive investor.
It’s funny to me that he is already bashing the company. He may out Ichan the Icahn. Certainly no Warren Buffet type of investor.
