Few brands are more valuable than that owned by the shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, one that now is being shattered. In 2020, Forbes rated it as number seven in the world in value. But I think this may actually understate the standing of the Disney brand. Few people would want to take a vacation at a Google resort or take a Microsoft cruise, but the allure of Disney's brand is enough to attract vacationers from all over the world. Disney theme parks exist in the United States (2), France, China (2), and Japan, and these attract visitors from many other countries, many bringing their children along, others seeking to recapture the joys of their childhood.
The essence of the Disney brand has been wholesomeness and the innocence of children, embodied in the smiling, ever-cheerful persona of Mickey Mouse, whose figure appears on Page One of its annual report.

i got a short lecture from a cashier ( about 8 years ago) for asking for Pepsi products at Disney World.
“Mickey drinks coke- repeat that. Mickey drinks coke”
i left without a purchase! Are they trained to be that annoying?
Come to Sarasota.
I was told that in addition to your regular ticket, Disney sells a "preferred" pass that allows you to cut long lines(?) It sounds terribly corrupt and unfair.
My neighbor has 2 "tween" kids and was thinking about a trip to Disney World. I talked him out of it. for 4 of them, he guessed it would have cost $4+K for the trip, so it was easy to convince him to go elsewhere.
Thanks for the list. I can honestly say that I don’t consume any content from any of those companies.
So much for "equity".
I just looked up the history of the once fabulous, biggest corporations in America: General Electric.
It made me a little sad, but it made me hopeful.
It won’t be long before Disney suffers the same result.
Perversion has its limits.
Disney should have kept the Disney name pure and created a company with a different name that plies the woke waters.
Disney The World of Cringe
Just canceled Disney Plus. Bad enough that they screwed up Star Wars with the all-female Jedis but getting out before my kids are exposed to the homo crap.
Only in our dreams. I'll be surprised if they take much of a hit.
So long as the pervs in charge can convince everyone that trashing someone else’s $$ and Rep is “worth the cause”, there will be no change. Don’t forget, Jim Jones convinced his followers to die. There is no limit.
The swamp boat thing sounds like fun. I like power boating - most of my experience with that is on 20 ft or so boats on lakes. (Bayliner or Mastercraft) An air-boat would be kinda cool to try. Might have to look for a tour. We’re going to have a couple of days in Florida City area, and a couple of days over by Tampa. The Florida City days though we’re probably going to be running down into the Keys.
It had always been her idea to go to Disney World. I had and have zero interest in it. But with all the pedophile-esque grooming BS Disney is now supporting, she no-longer wants to go and I’ve said I won’t go. Plenty of other things to do, visit the Keys, visit friends, see the Everglades, even just sit on a beach.
Ping
Yep. Disney exists for only ONE reason. To take your money and put it in the pocket of their corporate leadership. It’s completely turned around from Walt’s vision.
We'll probably be passing through. We'll be driving back up from Florida City area to the Villages to visit friends. If we run up the west side of the state that means we get to cross the Everglades either on 41 or 75. Haven't decided which yet. But either way means we'll cruise through Sarasota/Tampa area. I think we're planning an overnight in Tampa.
That’s interesting. I never wanted to go but my female friends used to talk positively about going. I wonder if they’ll changed their minds over this publicity. Nothing Disney had already done had influenced. them.
Walt Disney Company goes Will Smith crash ensues.
Thanks for the list. Several on there I can happily boycott. I refuse to support a bunch of child predators.
