Few brands are more valuable than that owned by the shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, one that now is being shattered.
Few brands are more valuable than that owned by the shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, one that now is being shattered. In 2020, Forbes rated it as number seven in the world in value. But I think this may actually understate the standing of the Disney brand. Few people would want to take a vacation at a Google resort or take a Microsoft cruise, but the allure of Disney's brand is enough to attract vacationers from all over the world. Disney theme parks exist in the United States (2), France, China (2), and Japan, and these attract visitors from many other countries, many bringing their children along, others seeking to recapture the joys of their childhood.
The essence of the Disney brand has been wholesomeness and the innocence of children, embodied in the smiling, ever-cheerful persona of Mickey Mouse, whose figure appears on Page One of its annual report.

World of Disney
Wife and I are going to be in Florida in several weeks — weather permitting, it’s a bit of a drive. She had floated the idea of visiting Disney World (she’s been to Disney Land in CA). That is now a non-starter. I’ll take her down to the keys or something.
Last year I was in Orlando on business, and my young son and wife flew in for a couple of days. We hadn’t been to Disney since he was a toddler, so we decided to visit Epcot for a day.
What a mess. It was our last visit there as far as we’re concerned.
The park was completely packed and difficult to get around in. The lines were astronomical. Some rides were down or closed. Our passes were malfunctioning. We waited in a customer service line for an hour to get help, only to get scolded by a Disney pipsqueek for using the word “hell” (as in: “Why the hell don’t these passes work???”). We were also scolded by folks in the stores and restaurants for not having our masks on or positioned correctly on our faces.
This definitely wasn’t the place of my childhood. It’s turned into a cold machine, designed to remove money from your wallet as quickly as possible and returning the least service for it as practicable in exchange.
Why would anyone spend enormous amounts of money to spend several days or a week in these monstrosities?
Do a swamp boat ride. That was a really fun part of our last deep Florida trip.
In order to increase their revenues, corporate conglomerates are forced to cater to any potential customer who has a lot of disposable income. This means normal families aren't a strong market, but homosexual mutants like Pete Butt-Fudge and that guy David Rubin who "buy" their children are now the target customers.
Liberals RUIN EVERYTHING they touch!
Wondering, did she decide not to go or did you say you wouldn’t go?
Family member just got back from Disneyland.
Went on weekdays, school still in session....not summer vacation time yet....should have been an ideal time to go.
Reported est. 75 minute wait on major ride, crowds.
WTF?! No Blue Bayou restaurant now? (Pirates of the C)
Don’t think I would want to eat on ANY Disney properties right now...
If Disney suddenly starts to get a lot of theme park visit cancellations, that could really hurt the company.
THANK YOU for the list, I appreciate it very much!
There may be even more, now, since it was from two or three years ago...............
“ Few people would want to take a vacation at a Google resort or take a Microsoft cruise, but the allure of Disney’s brand is enough to attract vacationers from all over the world. ”

Count me out. Until the freak show is over and that Mickey Mouse operation returns to Walt’s values, I will buy nothing Disney.
Americans will be much better off if this sends a message to woke corporate America, I’m hoping.
I won’t spend a dime on Disney.
