Why does any corporation cater to less than 5% of the population at the expense of everyone else?
If I built a multi-million dollar amusement park only for one-legged people, how would that go over?
If perfectly healthy 5y olds were begging to have a leg cut off to get in and join the new trend, how do you expect parents to react?

There are more Americans over the age of 80 than under the age of 2, and immigrants -- who don't give much of a crap about Disney -- make up a growing share of younger Americans.

In order to increase their revenues, corporate conglomerates are forced to cater to any potential customer who has a lot of disposable income. This means normal families aren't a strong market, but homosexual mutants like Pete Butt-Fudge and that guy David Rubin who "buy" their children are now the target customers.
