'I Feel Like We're on the Run': The Hatred for Democrats in Rural America Has Reached Biblical Levels

Well, this isn’t exactly a new story. The bleeding has been occurring for years, and Democrats have ignored it. It reached critical levels under Obama, where state party apparatuses truly withered away and died. Hillary Clinton pledged to fix that in 2016 but she lost the election. In the age-old debate about the allocation of outreach resources, the Left could have done what they should have which is double-down on rural white working-class voters or go all-in on the urban-based elites. The Democrats decided to do the latter. Four years later, Democrats saw their hopes of a huge House majority die thanks to their failure to reach out to people who aren’t unhinged ‘woke’ progressives from the cities. Trump lost, but Republicans made big gains in the House—whittling down the Democratic majority to just four seats.

Way way too much violence to the current Constitutional structure. Also wouldn’t stand a ghost of a chance of being passed! Your plan would very significantly amplify the power of the bureaucracy. Any term limitation plan has the unfortunate consequnce of moving power to the bureaucracy. The goal is to minimize it. Please don’t suggest a “Throw the Rascals Out” plan! Read about Lincoln’s problems/distraction over bureaucratic office appointments. Remember Garfield (or McKinley) was shot by a disgruntled office seeker. A modern state has to have a professional apolitical bureaucracy. You think dealing with the social security bureaucracy is hard now wait until its a new person every 4 years! The “Throw the Rascals Out approach has a historical track record of corruption. The problem is keeping the bureaucracy apolitical.

We have a party that stole an election, mandates taking poison, wrecks the economy, hates white and straight people, legalizes crime for themselves and their pets, and wants to silence and jail us.

But we have normie crap like this telling us we are the ones causing the pain here. Is that you Alinsky?

Are there even any democrats there? If there are they are probably politically naive old school types and don’t keep up with the current state of affairs.

Sure, there are democrats out here. They seem to be FDR Democrat throwbacks who don’t have to live under the policies their party is inflicting on the urban areas. I think they are naive folks, but nobody personally hates or publicly disrespects them over political disagreement.

If Texas is smart they will move the Capitol and then build a fence around Austin to keep the crazies contained

They should be. Or else repent of the great error obvious to our Founders.

In Biblical Greek, repentance is "metanoia" -- a 180 degree change of mind, a feature which those propelling a communistic mobocracy do not permit, and a result required by those demanding a return to Constitutionality of the whole nation, starting with our neighbors. Or else.

I meant “appointed” in the sense that Soros bought them the seat and appointed them. Yes, they were all elected. But Soros hand-picked them and bankrolled them. They are typically low-cost races that nobody pays attention to.

Victor Davis Hanson discussed this in his podcast a week or two ago and had good insights to how Soros is changing America with his money.

I wish this were the case where I live. I cannot stand them and they seem to keep coming.

Of course, much of that has to do with Kemp doing his best to lure all sorts of companies to Georgia, just like Perry did and Abbott still does.

The jobs they promise to Georgians rarely go to Georgians. Instead they go to the liberal transplants that move with the company. And although taxes aren’t all that low here, I’m assuming they’re much lower than where these people came from.

But, then again, Democrats have ruined Greenville, SC.

I’m sure this guy wishes they’d all move away.....https://www.wonkette.com/federalist-guy-did-not-move-to-tennessee-to-live-with-a-bunch-of-liberal-colonizers

Exactly..the way it used to be when America was still America. We all kind of got along except for ribbing each other good naturedly. That was before democrats were trying to ban guns, kill the oil industry, tax us to death, insert men in womens sports, stir up racial trouble and on and on.

2022 elections are a battle...
2024 elections are the war...

Having lost the former without fixing its causes, expect to lose the later.

I do 5-10 minutes at a time and then change the channel.

My preference is Fish & Game shows, “the First 48” and “to catch a smuggler” (something that reflects how it was before Biden’s DHS cut deals with the cartels).

Oh, and I learned during many years in real estate that people often lie about why they are moving.
