Way way too much violence to the current Constitutional structure. Also wouldn’t stand a ghost of a chance of being passed! Your plan would very significantly amplify the power of the bureaucracy. Any term limitation plan has the unfortunate consequnce of moving power to the bureaucracy. The goal is to minimize it. Please don’t suggest a “Throw the Rascals Out” plan! Read about Lincoln’s problems/distraction over bureaucratic office appointments. Remember Garfield (or McKinley) was shot by a disgruntled office seeker. A modern state has to have a professional apolitical bureaucracy. You think dealing with the social security bureaucracy is hard now wait until its a new person every 4 years! The “Throw the Rascals Out approach has a historical track record of corruption. The problem is keeping the bureaucracy apolitical.
Here is a hint. Longevity in office and the “bureaucracy” go hand in hand. Please ready ANYTHING proper conservatives have written about the growth of the administrative state in the last 20 years. I suggest you start with the Claremont Review of Books.
And please don't try to Fauchi anyone again.
