Dutch teenager, 17, woke up after knee operation forgetting how to speak his native language and only knew ENGLISH (and he also forgot who his parents were and thought he lived in Utah!)
U.K. Daily Mail ^

A Dutch teenager completely forgot his native tongue after waking up from surgery and could only speak English, doctors have revealed.

The unidentified 17-year-old boy, thought to be from Maastricht, was in hospital for a knee operation following an injury during a football match.

But after he awoke from the anesthesia, he was unable to speak or understand any of the medics, who were speaking in Dutch.

Instead, he was only able to talk in English — a language he had only been learning at school and never used outside of the classroom.

The boy also failed to recognise his own parents and believed that he was in the US, specifically in Utah, a country he had never visited.

After 24 hours, the teenager 'spontaneously' recovered both his ability to speak and understand his native language after friends came to visit him.

And doctors who treated him, at the Maastricht University Medical Center, claim he has retained his native tongue since.

Detailing his case in a medical journal, scientists believe he developed an extremely rare case of foreign language syndrome.(snip)

With just eight cases recorded worldwide in scientific literature there are scant details about foreign language syndrome.

How common is it?

Extraordinarily rare, there have been only eight post-operative cases recorded in scientific literature since 1999.

A friend who was head of the anesthesiology group at the local hospital (before he retired 20 years ago) had a similar situation. A kid came out of sugary and didn’t know where he was because his ‘time’ was the civil war. Doc said it was very real - when the kid fell asleep and woke up a few hours later he was back to normal.
Could be the reason there’s so few examples is most people have no idea where you would report something like this.

If everybody has been reincarnated where did all the new people come from?

Based on personal observations, I am convinced that a lot of pigs, asses, rats and slugs, and possibly even some fungi, got promoted into the human race when they were reincarnated.

Not really a joke. Many of my colleagues are from the Netherlands. Their english is horrible. Usually the problem is with word order and verb tenses.

It would almost have to be something like an “attached spirit”, a “walk-in” iirc like Cayce I think talked about, or maybe some type of possession.

The Bible talks about such things as though they’re a normal occurrence and if so then, why not now?

Such would “explain” a lot of the seemingly unexplainable crazy human stories in the news now and all of my life so far.

Might be a good time to make a standard issue silver Cross and vials of Holy Water mandatory carry items for all LEOs everywhere.

There’s a lot about the brain we don’t understand, and a prolonged full anesthesia is almost like dying.

If these things that you once knew seem gone forever, how do you know you once knew them?

Just like the question my doctor asks when I see her: "Do you see or hear things other people don't?".

I’m thinking that you might want to reconsider some of your initial assumptions and then reconsider whether you still firmly hold to the belief that there really is no possibility of reincarnation.

For instance, why assign infallibility to the Hindu/Buddhist religion re the number of souls being finite, but then say they’re wrong about reincarnation?

Also, why assume that, if God really created all existing souls at once, they all wanted to experience their one allotted incarnation immediately? Why would many not hang out at the starting gate until they felt like having a body?

Also, why would God create this magnificent planet for us, and then plan that eventually there would be nobody left to enjoy it?

Also, if there are a finite number of souls and He never made more or intends to make more, why does He continue to expand the universe and the numbers of states and planets? I personally believe that He continues to create new souls too, but that’s just what I believe from my gut.

And lastly, but In my mind more importantly, why would He create a system whereby each soul gets only one physical life and then goes in to whatever eternal home they’ve earned, but one soul only gets to be a morning glory for a day, another gets to live as a flea, another as a house spider who gets sucked into a vacuum, another as an unborn child who gets a few months in the womb before it’s mother ends it, while another gets to travel the works and live to 110 and another gets to be a beloved family pet? If all souls are created by Gods all at once and only get one life, how does that extraordinary inequity make sense? How can one’s eternal existence be judged on how well they did at being a flower that bloomed for eight hours, or at being a plankton for a day before a whale ate you? That doesn’t make any sense at all to me personally.

Personally, I am a cradle Catholic but I believe that all organized religions need to be taken with a grain of salt because though they may have been divinely inspired, they all were also tainted along the way by mankind, by both written traditional translations and corrupted oral history, as well as by the nefarious intentions of power hungry leaders with agendas. Therefore I try to use discernment to glean the truths, pray about it, and trust what I feel deep inside as to what to believe and what to let slide. Reincarnation, to me, makes perfect sense in that it is logical that when God created us He wanted us to experience the fullness of existence in this dimension and in others, maybe even in other Solar systems, who knows? I absolutely believe that life is present all over His creation, so why not? Also, as a small child, I had some experience of spontaneous recall of a life in NYC (freaked my poor parents out!) and grew up knowing that we get born again and again, though it took a few years before I found out what it was called and that not everybody believed the same.

I’m not trying to tell you what to believe or to change your mind, it’s such a personal thing and we all have our own opinions, as we should. I’m just saying that maybe you might want to contemplate the “what if”’s a little bit more from a slightly different perspective and see if maybe there is maybe even a tiny chance that should get to come here (or somewhere) more than once.

“A friend has lost short-term memory after surgery. Thought to be an after-effect of the anesthesia.”

Vitamin B-12 helps tremendously with this.

95% of all the people who have ever lived are alive today. If everybody has been reincarnated where did all the new people come from?

Ah, the problem is you assume reincarnation involves all deceased and the body never stops reincarnating. Why all the absolutes?

There is much we are just waking up to.

The Holy Water is nothing. It takes being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Our true strength comes from where we seek help in our time of weakness.

There is much more to the topic of reincarnation than most realize.

There are old souls and young souls existing here on earth. All are growing.

The goal of spiritual growth is “Transcendence “ where you perceive directly with your consciousness beyond your physical body. Only then can you fully perceive and experience Jesus.

Transcendence is graduation. Death is merely the end of a school year.

My Father’s Mansion has many rooms. Each of them relate to the level of soul growth an individual has attained by death.

Remember the vineyard workers. It’s never too late as long as you are alive.

🙏🙏🙏

You seem pretty sure you know everything about the spiritual world. So, I must ask, how many spirits are there in total, and do they all incarnate at the same time?

Betty Andreasson spoke Gaelic under hypnosis. She had never learned it, or even heard it before she listened to the playback.

So, what is the total population of the spirit world?

It is often said that souls often wait for hundreds or thousands of years before returning. One hundred years is five generations.

You cannot pretend to know much about "the other side".
