"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.

We miss you, too. DH and I were omnicronned over Christmas. Throat on fire for 2 days and we started in Ivermectin, Quercetin and HCQ. I was fortunate enough to have nothing pressing and I was able to sleep for about 20 hrs/day for about 2 weeks. But, the fatigue was unbearable when I finally was able to start ambulating. Prayers for you and a speedy recovery.
Awesome. The good guys win one.

You also have my serious respect for the way you’re juggling all that’s on your plate at this time. Believe me, I can’t hold a candle to that - right now I’m feeling under the weather, and it looks like I’m being a complete wimp. My “chores” consist of feeding my cats and caring for the one who’s been in slow decline; the rest can wait (even though my house looks like a bomb went off), and this note is probably all the “interacting” I’ve done in a few days, other than in FRmail. Exercise? Hah! Yes, sleep is very important. I’m thankful in retrospect that I’m not working, though.
As someone with great wisdom recently reminded me, we each learn the lessons given us and get through our ordeals as fast as we’re meant to. Hang in there, Cheshire. You’re needed and appreciated here, but only after you’re 188% again. God bless you!

A pregnant Pakistani woman with three daughters had a nail hammered into her head by a faith healer who said it would guarantee she gave birth to a boy. The woman’s husband allegedly threatened to leave her if she had another girl.

Exploitative faith healers, whose practices are rooted in mystic Sufi lore, proliferate across Muslim-majority Pakistan, where a son is believed to offer better financial security to parents than daughters.
The woman arrived at a hospital in the northwestern city of Peshawar after trying to extract the nail herself with pliers, doctor Haider Khan told AFP. “She was fully conscious, but was in immense pain,” said Khan, who removed the spike. An X-ray showed the five-centimeter (two-inch) nail had pierced the top of the woman’s forehead but missed her brain. Khan said a hammer or other heavy object was used to knock it in.
The woman initially told hospital staff she had hammered the nail into her head herself on the advice of the faith healer, before later saying he had carried out the act. Peshawar police are trying to track down the woman in order to question her. “We have collected the CCTV footage from the hospital and hope to reach the woman soon,” city police chief Abbas Ahsan told AFP.
As it turns out, this woman is pregnant with another girl.
