Nando (racing name KL Fernando) March 13, 2008 - January 31, 2022
He was a good dog and my best friend for over 10 years. I adopted him November 14, 2011 after he retired after a lackluster racing career, winning only 3 races. Although he was retired, he quickly raced into my heart. He was a "bounce", having previously been adopted and returned for potty problems in the house. During his time with me he grabbed a bag of egg noodles from the cabinet and ate them, dragged a bag of flour into the living room and opened it, took a bag of powdered sugar into my bedroom and shook it like a chew toy, destroyed many stuffies, pillows, comforters, coats, books, and shoes, and turned my backyard into a moonscape. Not once did he have potty problems in the house. Until recently when old age crept up on him. It was a good 10 years, but way to short. I miss him dearly.
I know those feelings. Remember the rainbow bridge.
Damn, hate losing dogs.
Dogs are a miracle; a true gift from God. Thank you for giving him a good life well deserved.
So very sorry for your loss. May he RIP. I know that pain and emptiness. Prayers all the great memories flood your heart and make you smile as you remember them.
Awww. Sorry.
:’(
Sorry for your loss. Dogs hold a special place in our hearts.
been there....still brings tears to my eyes.
God made one big mistake when he created the world.....dogs don’t live long enough.
Sad days ahead, then fond memories.
Sorry to hear about your fur baby.
Sorry for your loss. I know what is like to lose a dog (or several through my life). Very good company, great friends and protectors.
I care more about pets than some of my relatives. Pets don’t lie to you (mostly), stab you in the back or steal inheritance from grandmas estate. They love fully and can brighten any depressing day. faithful to the end. They die too soon. Sorry for your loss.
Pups are the BEST! Sorry for your loss.
I just lost my beloved female black german shepherd of 13 years. I’m with ya.
Does it ever get any easier?
Sad days ahead, then fond memories
Dogs are Great reminders that Life is precious and short, so don’t be wasting it.
Nothing,NOTHING, more calming than to reach down to your side and tug on your loyal dog’s ears. It’ll be all right.
Boy do I know what you are going through. It hurts and the ache remains for a long time. “He was a good dog” is the greatest thing you can say about a dog, it means they did their job well.
I hope he is waiting for you at the bridge. Don’t forget to thank God for lending him to you.
I just know, that they have spirit and go to heaven. I can’t imagine these understanding and compassionate souls not having an afterlife and us not being able to be reunited again. :)
All dogs go to heaven.
Sorry for your loss. His ten years were better because of you, too.
Sorry for your loss, as others have stated Dogs are GREAT for humans. Best thing to do is get another dog, you both will benefit.
