Went to my bank 2 weeks ago. In their new list posted of days closed in 2022 they had Indigenous Peoples Day,
I told them how insulted I was by this naming and the Least they could do is have both names on the day.
The manager was surprised.
And last week they changed it.
Said I was the only person to complain. But I made sense.
So Kick Up a Fuss!
How many hundreds of years do honkies have to live here before we’re considered “indigenous”? I was born here and will die here. That’ pretty ****ing “indigenous” to me. The far left’s “indigenous” bull sh*t is for retarded morons.
I like your tag line. I’m immune too. 😂
Columbus.
But leftists get the nose under the tent on everything
Time out may get the point across. But then
news about himself may be the most important.
Columbus Day.
This country has gone stark raving mad! Common sense has been thrown out the window and replaced with insanity.
No worries, I had to look up the date when this BS was in the news because there will now have to be an official treatment of it.
As I understand it there may be issues in his personal life that may complicate that legacy.
He had a noble goal, I’d concede that.
as well as their homes
Because he felt insulted.
Feelings are important and I always consider them.
Yep.
Yeah i double checked it too. 😉
Please explain what this post about.
Thanks.
I think it is easier for small companies to ignore some holidays; they aren’t held to the same PC scrutiny as large ones that basically function as extensions of gubmint (with PC policies and such).
I remember when I was younger Lincoln and Washington had their own days...
It is about not just accepting the status quo when it is presented to you, but instead OBJECTING.
That is how one hold the line on the little things that have led to the big changes in our culture.
you would think they would display some intelligence in the naming for “Their Day”...
Like Returning to Africa Day
My company isn’t small. Most companies ignore a bunch of the federal holidays. It’s really got nothing to do with PC or anything. Most companies don’t get Veterans Day off either, cause they already have Thanksgiving and outside retail the day after. 3 is “too many”. Probably the problem MLK has too, we just got back to work from Christmas shutdown on the 4th, now another holiday 2 weeks later? Nope. Schools, financial and the PO. Those are the only folks that get all the holidays off.
Me too
And I tell everyone that Presidents day was originally an combination of Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthdays. But instead they made it honor all the presidents, and some are not worth honoring.
I’m surprised; I thought that was untouchable (and certain people would make a stink).
My family has been on this continent for very nearly 500 years. That is half a millennium. How much longer before I am indigenous?
