I have a feeling that the democRATs are threatening to prosecute anyone who supported election challenges unless they stop speaking out.

Ted hasn’t changed. I stopped putting any trust in him years ago. He occasionally sounds good. But he is never really good.

He is the same weasel he’s always been. He just says things conservatives like now and then, but he is so calculating & self-serving, I can’t understand how people could not see it.

I’m not sure what to think but I’m not happy with him for saying that. It seems he always had more spine than that.
I’m not a fan of the Jan 6 protests - I would not have let anyone I cared about go to something like that. I don’t see it as being effective protest - it was a setup to give certain individuals a lifetime of problems (or to eliminate them).
However, if there was an element of terrorism, it was brought to the party by such entities as the FBI and CIA.
I used to be a big fan of Ted but eh.

What happened to Ted Cruz?If as you suggest he turned because of a fear of prosecution by Ds, he's totally and completely useless going forward.

Texas should follow my idea and secede in ‘23 if the rest of the US would maintain its majority. New government. Ted/Cornyn would both be out of jobs.
Just remember Texas can secede legally.

Maybe the other Texas senator infected Ted.

Yes, and how does he possibly think he can win the presidential nomination?
To: MtnClimber
Cruz has always been inconsistent. Sometimes he’s great and stands up to the Dems, sometimes he’s obviously seeking their approval as sort of a seal that he’s not one of those, you know, radical Republicans.
I don’t think he’s afraid of prosecution, but more of losing his respectability creds and being portrayed as a - gasp - Trump supporter.

I think the GOP has no real desire to win. Look at some of our “front runners” — Pence? Cruz? Christie?
The party base totally rejects those guys. And so the party pushes those guys forward. That will probably help Garrett Newsome become president in 2024.

I’m not necessarily against that, but don’t you suppose it would lead to a civil war?

Oh dear, this statement by Senator Ted Cruz is going to put Ms. Julie Kelly in quite a pickle. Earlier today, Senator Cruz called the J6 protesting groups a bunch of “violent terrorists … who should go to jail for a long, long time.”
Readers of these pages will not find this mask slip by Cruz to be a big surprise; however, for the legions of Cruz-bots, who have avoided watching him turn into a wolfman type hybrid, literally, this could be problematic. You only need to watch the first few seconds of this one minute video to see where Senator Cruz stands.
WATCH:
If the 2016 RNC convention speech didn’t shake off his supporters, perhaps this latest revelation will. Wolfman Cruz is one small nudge to the right of the one-eyed Cheney from Texas.

Ted Cruz thinks if he can knock out Trump, then he’ll be the next President.
What a maroon.
