If as you suggest he turned because of a fear of prosecution by Ds, he's totally and completely useless going forward.
Cruz has always been inconsistent. Sometimes he’s great and stands up to the Dems, sometimes he’s obviously seeking their approval as sort of a seal that he’s not one of those, you know, radical Republicans.
I don’t think he’s afraid of prosecution, but more of losing his respectability creds and being portrayed as a - gasp - Trump supporter.
