Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by the brain to promote healthy sleep and regulate the body’s internal clock. It can also be taken in the form of a dietary supplement, and studies have shown melatonin to be effective in improving sleep and treating headaches, anxiety and other health conditions. Most recently, though, researchers have focused their attention on the effect melatonin might have on COVID-19 and the vaccines created to prevent it.
According to a Cleveland Clinic study, melatonin may help prevent COVID-19 or aid in the treatment of COVID-19 due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Researchers found that melatonin reduced the likelihood of study participants getting COVID-19 by 28%. Among Black participants — a population disproportionately affected by the disease — infection likelihood was reduced by 52%.

Melatonin is used as a sleep aid. Had a friend we regularly gave Melatonin to but he still died of COVID. He was in his 80s.

Majority of deaths in USA are for people over age 80, and this was before covid arrived from China.

I am not one of them, because I do not like taking anything man made.
I do not take any man made supplements except 1-a-day vitamin pill if I remember. My best defense against diseases is daily exercise. I began exercising at age 59, and now at 81 have much fewer health problems than during my 50’s when I had a slew of them. Daily Exercise is indeed a wonder drug.
You think I would avoid the jabs due to fear porn posted incessantly by medically unqualified anonymous posters? Not a chance. By the way I had 2 jabs 9 months ago, and both were big nothing burgers for adverse side effects. 2 weeks ago I had the booster, and again zero side effects. But I am not old haha, just a young 81 year old. Thanks to all tax payers for these free covid jabs.

I have a buddy who’s 82 and just got through a bout of bad virus. He was still working 15 hours a week outside in the 100 degree heat so he was in decent shape for it. He’s hoping for 100 too.

I started taking melatonin on suggestion from my doctor to control mild nocturnal seizures, instead of taking very heavy typical seizure drugs which interfered greatly with my daily living. It works for me and has for years now.
