Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s, the alphabet people fought against similar measures re AIDS/HIV proofs. Hey, they even made a movie about starring you know who!
There was absolute hysteria regarding AIDS, like we have now re ‘rona. None of us knew the truth of it so fear was rampant. (I remember a news story about the emergency room doctor who wore the equivalent of a space suit to operate. That image was really helpful! /s)
There are precedents and even if we don’t like the litigants they were right. We are too.

When the Kiwis were ending their role in the first Gulf War, they performed a similar “war dance.” It was very impressive.
If I recall correctly, the NZ forces were mostly white with a smattering of Maoris. I think they have incorporated some of the martial traditions of the islands’ native people which is pretty cool.
We couldn’t do that. We’re not even allowed to name teams after them.

I decided to leave it as “wish”, because I rejected the “offer”- and an “offer” is all it is. Flatly rejecting the offer was, in my opinion, a somewhat hostile enough statement, without getting overboard. Thought it best to soften the closing line.
Put in my retrement package last week. I’ve had enough.

More than a few of us are at the point of delivering our own version of the "Ray Patterson" goodbye to the whole bloody edifice as it stands now: "You know, I'm not much on speeches, but it's so gratifying to... leave you wallowing in the mess you've made. You're screwed, thank you, bye."
I recall that there was a patient who required intubation. Ordinarily at my place, Anesthesia was called. They would arrive promptly, maybe don a mask, certainly gloves, and we would have set up a ventilator with ‘vanilla settings’ and tape down the Endo Tracheal Tube.
The entire process typically took fewer than 15 minutes.
One day, Anesthesia Docs arrived in more numbers. It was usually 2 or 3, two Residents and an Attending sort who would guide the process and intervene if necessary.
The particular time, it was 6 or 7 Docs and a great deal of fuss was made about the donning of the gowns, mask, double gloves, visor, and the procedure. Just the gowning up took significant time. I always referred to it as ‘cloaking.’ The decloaking as well took time as there was an exact process to follow. You sanitized your outer gloves then removed them. You tore off the paper gown and discarded it into a specified receptacle. Then stepped out the door, hand sanitizer, toss those gloves, put on new gloves, alcohol wiped the visor shield, throw away the N-95 into another special bin, sanitize the gloves, then put them in the trash, then go wash your hands.
Those first Intubations under Covid we're taking more than twice as long requiring more than double the people. This went on for a few weeks. In my place we intubated several patients every shift. We had I suppose 5 different ICUs plus the Trauma Rooms where something like half the Patients were intubated.
It was all simply unbelievable. To me it felt as if we were in a War. Everything was incredibly serious.
I knew that those Anesthesia Docs were highly intelligent. They always thought about everything. Simply brilliant people were reduced to being Automatons, following a recipe instituted by some Master Chefs in some anonymous central location.
At a point, for me, it all became too absurd. I knew that I was getting out. I hung in there though. Once the vaccines were announced, I smelled a rat big time. They do not make vaccines in less than a year. It takes a lot of testing and money. We were offered it first, as Health Care Providers. I knew at once that I would not take it. Many of my friends and coworkers did submit. I left that job quickly because I could see the inevitable coming. I had other reasons though, legitimate ones.
Where the protocols emerged from, I can only speculate. I will say that this stuff screwed up my life and compelled me to leave the best job that I ever had.
NYC was pulled back from the brink and by the mid-2000s, there was practically no part of the city where you couldn’t walk. The parks were safe, the streets were safe, even places that were synonymous with violence like Fort Greene, Red Hook, East New York, were not only safe but had become sought after neighborhoods to live. It was absolutely incredible.
Then this p.o.s. De Blasio was elected and all those gains were wiped out. It was his mission to make NYC unlivable (and abscond with millions via his wife) and he’s going to keep his foot on the accelerator right up to 11:59 a.m. on January 1st.
Yup. I felt safe spending the night in Central Park back then.
I only feared rabid raccoons and bats and the squirrels raiding my purse in the early morning looking for nuts.
These pre teens with serious heart malfunctions is IMO evidence of monstrous activities by the Big Pharma Labs. Persons who work for such outfits ought to get out because when the shit hits the fan over this stuff, there is unlikely to be a whole lot of mercy dispensed.
The ‘elites’ game plan is to use inflation as an incentive to keep working - as our saved money becomes worthless.
