Steve Petito is speaking out on Instagram Wednesday against the law firm representing Brian Laundrie’s family, saying “we don’t require nor want your empathy” and “by you trying to show compassion here at this moment is beyond disgusting.”
Petito made the comments in reaction to a statement Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertoloni gave to Fox News yesterday, in which the lawyer said “May Gabby Rest in Peace.”
“As far as the law is concerned this law firm may be immune due to attorney/client privilege,” Steve Petito wrote.
“But in the eyes of the public you are as guilty and complicit with this massive cover-up and stalling tactic,” he added

Hear, hear.
That both are silent is curious.
It's both bizarre and shameful.
Turn himself in to whom?
Is he wanted officially?
What are the charges?
That said, I think he’s guilty, but that’s not how it works.
Without vigorous defense we have a police state.
No I have no known sympathy for Laundrie. But I want him vigorously defended.
Because the alternative is a police state.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the father whacked her a few times himself.
Gabby Petito's father, Joe, revealed during an interview with Dr. Phil that he used to call Brian Laundrie -- the person of interest in his daughter's homicide -- Brianne.
“I’ve never liked any of Gabby’s boyfriends, let's be real. I’ve never actually called one of her boyfriends by their real name, ever. I always made up names for them," he said.
"I always tried to use the female version of the boyfriend's names, just to intimidate them a little bit," Joe Petito added. Petito says Laundrie "laughed" when he first heard the name.
The detail emerged as an attorney for Petito’s family reportedly told CBS News last week that "Gabby's family was instructed by law enforcement to not discuss the details of Gabby and Brian's relationship.”
I’m shocked that the LEOs didn’t at least keep a pair of eyes on the kid. Sheesh.
everybody hates defense lawyers until you need one, i guess
.
Very much doubt that Brian Laundrie is alive. This case is just another example of a pretty girl with her own demons and insecurities attracted to the bad boy lowlife. Add drugs, amoral neo pagan behavior and excessive narcissism, it is not suprising that these two came to this nihilistic end. America is fascinated with this case because it gives them a window into the real time decadent decline of American culture. It has the fascination of watching a violent bloody car crash as it happens
I understand why North Port didn't as they are a very small police force however, the FBI has resources but no brains.
From the get go, I said this criminal defense attorney is experiencing emotions and lawyer rigor beyond what most could endure.
He has a job to do, but he’s human and sees what’s happening now there is a dead body.
It’s a stretch from I passed the bar to WFT my client is on national news accused and likely guilty of killing his girlfriend.
He has his firm around him, but that’s all he has.
I agree. From what I understand Brian used the mustang to come and go before he eventually disappeared.
And authorities do not know where he went? Perhaps they do, but they’re not saying.
Yes, that is a despicable family—father, mother, and daughter/sister. Obviously covering up, likely assisting their son/brother to flee. The attorneys now have that shared guilt on their hands. Is it worth a few dollars or minutes of publicity? Sick, if that is the case.
Sounds solid to me, but we may never now.
The FBI is busy with white power terrorists, wherever they might be...
Is that real?
Where did you get they were on drugs? I've never seen that in any article that I've read.
