I make some darn good beans using smoked ham hocks. I serve them with fried taters and withered lettuce (shredded green leaf lettuce, green onions, withered with fresh bacon grease and topped with crumbled freshly fried bacon, salted perfectly.
My last meal would not be a finely cooked rare steak..it’d be beans, withered lettuce and taters made my way.😊
