Actually my son came in the room when Alexa asked his 2 young kids how many people where in their family. They had been having conversations with "Alexa". So my son got rid of 'it'.
“Was ALEXA chirping? Our smoke alarm chirps when we need to change the battery.”
It was like a baby bird chirp or peep.
I knew it wasn’t the smoke alarms because our wonderful fire department came and changed them all out. They are wired in when the house was built but they said those need to be replaced every 10 years regardless and the batteries in them are supposedly good for 10 years now also. But he said to still test them every year anyway. I have 6 alarms and they were ALL replaced free of charge for seniors.
ALL: So if any of you have wired in smoke alarms in your house and they are 10 years old or older they should be replaced. I was under the assumption wired in ones lasted forever but the fire department says they don’t.
Glad to hear you did the same.
Raising my children and being there for them was my prime focus for many years.
Felt I could focus on the “finer” things in life after they were raised.
However, life through me a cure ball and it didn’t work out exactly like I had planned.
I did my best.
