Just pieces of plaster and a few cracks in wall. The bathtub wasn’t around windows or stuff that can fall and hit you on your head. I went to the bathroom when we were having tornadoes here for the same reason. Better to have a small mattress or something over you but there’s no warning with earthquakes. My SIL gave us a good laugh because he wasn’t used to earthquakes much, and he abandoned his wife and child and ran when it was just a shaker. They were living in Modesto but he was going to helicopter mechanics class in Oakland Airport so they had just moved in with me so he wouldn’t have a big commute.
I enjoyed having my little granddaughter while they were there. She’s all grown up now, being indoctrinated at UCLA.

Today is the 13th anniversary of my Alive Day.
13 years ago, my life changed forever when I hit a roadside bomb while fighting in Afghanistan.
I found myself outside of the vehicle burning from my knees up - soaked in diesel & on fire.

Car in front of me had a bumper sticker on it. It read: “Pray for Biden. Psalm 109:8.” When I got home I opened my bible to the scripture and read it and started laughing. Psalm 109:8 –“Let his days be few and brief; And let others step forward to replace him.” At last –I can voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Let us bow our heads and pray. Amen!!!!
