May divorce husband over Covid vax beliefs
August 23, 2021 | Scarpetta

My husband of 20 years got the "vax" in order to travel for work. He was not resistant to the jab. In fact, he gladly took it. He has repeatedly told me I'm foolish for not getting the shot. I am heathly and hale and have weighed my options. I will not take it ... ever.

He told me to not mention the mandatory vaccine being foisted on military personnel in a letter to my son in basic training at Fort Benning. I told him to go eff himself. I can't stay married to a man this weak minded.

I can't believe I am with a man who is telling me to watch what I write to our son. I can't believe he thinks this "vax" is legit. I will dissolve this marriage before I let anyone stick a needle in my body.

Would you go to such extremes to stand firm in your beliefs?

Not a good enough reason for divorce.

Wow. Everyone should be able to make their own decision without being threatened

No. This too shall pass. Divorce sucks and only the shysters win. After it’s all over and the anger dissipates, you would regret it.

Why divorce him? He’s doomed to die from ADE any time now. /sarc

He may be a stinker but divorce is a great evil, which I would humbly suggest brings its own problems and is something to try hard to avoid. So my vote is “stand by your man”, lame as he may be.

I encourage you to quietly do what is right and not get drawn into the argument. Perhaps a memorized phrase like “I’m sorry we don’t agree but I don’t care to argue about it any more.”

Then go about your life. This isn’t divorce worthy.

Could explain Biden's desparation to get 70% by July etc. He missed his deadline?

Could explain why PFizer abruptly licensed by FDA.

Could explain alot -  deal made by Biden in June 2020 per rumor?
Leaving all those weapons behind - more 'payment' for China's Pfizer contract with Biden?

We all make our own choices, but don’t think marriages should dissolve unless physical violence is involved, or, in some cases, emotional abuse. I don’t think I see either, but I’m not you.

I booked our flights to our son’s graduation from basic training scheduled for the middle of December. I told my husband we’ll have to cancel our flights and drive the 14 hours to Georgia if the government mandates vax passports for air travel. He told me I was being foolish.

Tell the son anyway. Entirely separate from the vax argument. However, since he can still catch the kungflu, even though vaxxed, the problem may solve it self. Not enuff to divorce over, IF that is the only problem. (I took the moderna shots so I that I can see my folks who are in their 90s, in assisted living.)

I’ve been married 32 years, you should not even think about getting divorced over a vaccine. You should yield to your husband, listen to him and pray for him to lead you and guide your family. Do not argue with him. Your son is an adult and can think for himself. Why burden your son with your worries. I’m not vaccinated, and my husband and I have had plenty of disagreements over the years. Stay married.

One might suggest that you enter counseling and try to work things out, without taking the jab yourself.

Or maybe you’ve already made up your mind, which is your right. In that case one wouldn’t wish to comment one way or the other. It’s your life.

I believe in liberty (notice screen-name). He made his choice and you made yours? What’s wrong with that?
