Not to say that the CDC won’t at some point take these procedures into your neighborhood in the future, but right now these are contingency plans for places like refugee camps, homeless encampments and the poor.
Too bad they aren’t already following this plan on the southern border, and instead letting infected illegals scurry like cockroaches across the country.
BTW - I have plans similar to those suggested if one of my family gets sick. Zone off an area, cleaning, etc. On the other hand, neighbors of ours got Covid and two of the family were sick (and recovered) and the other 4 were just fine as they took care of the sick with no extreme measures taken (still sleeping in the same bed, etc.)
Too bad that this isn't being followed by the Biden regime at the border. And too bad there isn't a bevy of republicans holding the CDC's hand in the fire over not following their own protocols.
HOWEVER, with that said, here's the language taken directly from the CDC document:
"The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk”) and the general population (“low-risk”). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting.1,2 They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents."
So you have no problem with internment camps for the unvaccinated, you just don't like it to sound inflammatory?

No, no, no. You misunderstand. What I meant was some of these pundits will twist the meaning of some of these documents to make it sound worse that it actually is. In THIS case, the take is spot on. The CDC is talking about concentration camps. There’s no twisting or embellishing the statement to make it sound like more that it is. The CDC straight up published their intentions.
Leper colonies. They can be justified in certain extreme circumstances. I don’t think we’re anywhere near that - but the authorities might disagree.
I couldn’t listen to that guy, so maybe not surprising if his claims didn’t ultimately check out. But all non-MSM sources going into MSM alternative information seem to sometimes misstep. Often I imagine because they are controlled opposition, but just as likely because perfectly vetted guests and information are hard to sustain.
SP’s regular guest Dr. Jane Ruby (a nurse practioner who has long been involved in research, as I understand it), for example, seems to have been the one to break the graphene oxide story starting with Spanish researchers for the American media. That could ultimately be about as big a story re: the vaccines as there is.

Note the CDC references/endorses the PHE/UK guidance which specifically categorizes "those living in residential care homes for older adults".
Now that's a fair and honest criticism of the CDC doc.

Yes, old document by date, but I’ve never seen citation or discussion of this here or anywhere else until today.
“Segmentation & Shielding” (”S&S”) is the label applied by the UK to such an approach (and outlined in one of the references, #25), ironically the very approach the intelligent among us asserted the CDC should have adopted to protect the vulnerable in this country while the rest of us went about our lives in overwhelmingly normal fashion.
Clearly that was not the method the CDC adopted. Though this document is not directed at domestic population in the US, it is telling that the CDC would expound on the method (take note of the language used throughout the document),
“High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting.1,2 “
There are a number of facets to this ‘shielding approach’ and its corollaries which merit attention, including,
“Consideration: Plan for an extended duration of implementation time, at least 6 months.
Explanation: The shielding approach proposes that green zones be maintained until one of the following circumstances arises: (i) sufficient hospitalization capacity is established; (ii) effective vaccine or therapeutic options become widely available; or (iii) the COVID-19 epidemic affecting the population subsides.”
In addition,
“Vaccine trials are underway, but with no definite timeline. Reaching the suppression phase where the epidemic subsides can take several months and cases may resurge in a second or even third wave. Herd immunity (the depletion of susceptible people) for COVID-19 has not been demonstrated to date. It is also unclear if an infected person develops immunity and the duration of potential immunity is unknown. Thus, contingency plans to account for a possibly extended operational timeline are critical.”
Posting for discussion/analysis (as opposed to conspiracy theory) in consideration of what most intelligent FReepers agree is the result of this >yearlong ‘dry run’ for protocols to be implemented for the next ‘virus crisis’.
