We are aware of reports of civilian casualties following our strike on a vehicle in Kabul today.
We are still assessing the results of this strike, which we know disrupted an imminent ISIS-K threat to the airport. We know that there were substantial and powerful subsequent explosions resulting from the destruction of the vehicle, indicating a large amount of explosive material inside that may have caused additional casualties. It is unclear what may have happened, and we are investigating further.
We would be deeply saddened by any potential loss of innocent life.

Thanks; that’s what I was thinking but then it started to not make sense to me.
Did the IC forecast that Afghanistan would collapse a year from now, regardless of who was in the White House and if the withdrawal took place in May 2021 as planned?
Or was the only difference in the factor of Afghanistan collapsing that Biden is in the WH now?
In other words, did the IC believe Afghanistan would have collapsed regardless when the withdrawal took place and who was in the WH?

I don’t know. All I know is Trump had threatened Taliban to stay away during pull-out and planned on an orderly exit. Plus, Taliban goes to Pakistan winter months.
Biden changed the date to 9/11 purely for political optics, giving Taliban time in Afghanistan to organize. Taliban wasn’t dealing with Trump anymore so went to work.
I find it very hard to believe our IC didn’t know what was going on.
I watched those pampered, perfumed, pompous, powdered, privileged popinjays stand in formation while the caskets were taken off the plane today and all I could think was:
They haven’t got a clue. They never did.

congress briefed - gates closed at Kabul airport. 300 plus Americans and 1000s of our afghan allies left behind. STRANDED how can anyone in Biden admin keep their jobs?
Also, I’ve read (have not looked at the photos) that most of the bodies are unrecognizable.
We believe what the Taliban is telling us about this situation, but we refuse to believe a syllable the MSM tells us about anything?

Some people are careless. This virus is very contagious. Sometimes it’s better to be over-cautious than trying to be brave and get infected.
Whenever I go out, I carry Clorox disinfecting wipe in my hand. I carry Costco wipes big box in my handbag. Mask is useless. Protect hand, because one will touch on the face or other parts. Back home, the first thing I do is wash my face and arms.
