WASHINGTON — For months, the Biden administration was stockpiling military equipment for the Taliban before the collapse of the Afghan government. The report comes from Reuters who shares that well over a month before the Taliban’s march across the country, the Biden administration was sending military equipment to Afghanistan amid a “planned withdrawal.”
The plans of the Biden administration were not very well thought out or executed. But perhaps this was the plan all along.
According to Reuters, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters, “They’ll continue to see a steady drumbeat of that kind of support, going forward.”
The Biden administration had continued to ship new firearms, drones, communication gear, and more to the nation that they had plans to abandon in just a few short weeks. Even as the Taliban takeover continued, the shipments continued. The Taliban has bragged about the equipment they obtained, with videos of helicopters and firearms posted online.
According to one official, reported by Reuters, “the current intelligence assessment was that the Taliban are believed to control more than 2,000 armored vehicles, including U.S. Humvees, and up to 40 aircraft potentially including UH-60 Black Hawks, scout attack helicopters, and ScanEagle military drones.” That’s not just a few pieces of military equipment, that’s essentially a start-up kit for a defense force.
Reuters reports that the Biden administration is very concerned about the large amount of equipment that was left behind. According to reports, the administration has contemplated airstrikes to take out large pieces of equipment, but it has yet to put together a plan.
Officials report they are less concerned about the equipment because it is technologically advanced. They state it takes significant maintenance time and training to operate. Perhaps that was before China and Russia both have claimed their interest in Afghanistan.

Commenters on Obama’s Instagram page urged him to help the Afghan people
Commenting on former President Obama’s Instagram page was briefly suspended Monday morning as commenters urged the former president to do something about the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.
Obama has yet to issue a public statement on the rapidly declining situation in Afghanistan, as thousands of people try to flee the country that fell to Taliban rule in a matter of days.
Obama’s Instagram posts said, “Comments on this post have been limited” for roughly two hours Monday morning. His most recent post, a video Thursday touting his All on the Line redistricting campaign, garnered 885 comments before it was shut down Monday.
“Afghanistan needs your help. Please please help Afghanistan,” one commenter wrote.
“The blood of the #Afghan people is on the hands of those who have remained silent in the face of oppression and have made friends with the Taliban,” wrote another. “History will not forget your crime.”
“What did we accomplish in Afghanistan if we turn tail and run now?” asked another. “They need us! That is not the American way! We do not surrender and run! We stay and fight and until the issues are resolved which is true independence!”
Commenters posted the hashtags #help_afghanistan and #afghanistanisbleeding, among others, before being cut off.
The commenting on former first lady Michelle Obama’s Instagram page was also turned off during the same period of time.
An Obama spokesperson told Fox News she had just learned about the pause and that there was “no intentionality on our side” or an explanation for why it happened.

Tuesday’s media reports suggested 10,000 to 40,000 Americans remained in Afghanistan. The Associated Press reported Thursday 15,000 were stranded. About 2,900 have been evacuated since Sunday.

The Biden regime is both evil and inept. I’m trying to keep a handle on my anger.
To top it off there are people my church has supported who have special Visas and cannot get to the airport. They were beaten at a checkpoint yesterday. It’s all so disheartening.

I recall that being talked about not to long ago (I think) It seems to me because everyone was expecting President Trump to win again they didn’t think he would finish a second term because of this curse.
