In a recent survey published by the American Medical Association, 96 percent of practicing physicians have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Among all surveyed physicians, there was no significant difference in the various demographic groups including primary care versus specialties, region, gender, age, and race.

Some health systems have required COVID-19 vaccination for all employees amid efforts to end this pandemic as quickly as possible....

...This survey was offered to physicians between June 3 and June 8, 2021, through a WebMD platform.

Of the 301 participants, 150 were primary care specialties....

Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy states that in any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people:

First, there will be those who are devoted to the goals of the organization. Examples are dedicated classroom teachers in an educational bureaucracy, many of the engineers and launch technicians and scientists at NASA, even some agricultural scientists and advisors in the former Soviet Union collective farming administration.

Secondly, there will be those dedicated to the organization itself. Examples are many of the administrators in the education system, many professors of education, many teachers union officials, much of the NASA headquarters staff, etc.

The Iron Law states that in every case the second group will gain and keep control of the organization. It will write the rules, and control promotions within the organization.

The AMA succumbed to the Iron Law many years ago.

First, I was sick. For 2.5 days. Apparently, we were both in the 80% world population group that is either immune or partially immune. Caching covid perfected our immunity in this way. In fact, covid cannot be stopped, even by the shot, and that is a good thing. It will spread every time they "unlock" people and travel throughout the herd to spread immunity.

The shot will help preserve lives (at least in the short run), until the virus morphs beyond just the spike protein that was synthesized. A virulent evolution will throw a curve ball eventually and the attenuated immune systems of those with the vaxx will swing and miss. They only have the center of the strike zone covered.

Of course others do not share my experience.

I pointed out we have done things to stay healthy and strengthen our immune system. The majority of people do nothing.

I also pointed out we are not:

Obese
Diabetic
End stage of life
Don't have multiple comorbidities
Don't have low serum vitamin D levels
Don't use the medications that deplete zinc
ETC.

THAT is the series of data points that is statistically significant. If you have those things and multiple categories, then you need to evaluate your risk/reward of taking the clot shot.

I was a big fan of Pournelle when he wrote articles for computer magazines in the 80s. On one of my trips to COMDEX, I actually met him looking over the same vendor booth. A chance encounter in a sea of people.
