There are algal versions of EPA and DHA, I believe.
LOL

Keep DHA to a minimum, EPA is the life extender. At the right dosage and timeframe (see Vescepa) it dissolves arterial plaque.
Great! I love herring, cheese, sausage, beer etc.!😃
I found that taking fish oil or flax seed oil didn’t really improve my omega-3 index. Currently I’m still using the flax seed oil since it’s handy for smoothies or salad dressing, and trying to get 2 servings of wild salmon a week. A previous trainer said to take 1 T oil for every 50# of body weight.
If that doesn’t help, I give up!
Nattokinase is another good one. It will lower your blood pressure and help eat up plaque in the vascular system. I take it mixed with a lot of K2 and Indole-3-carbinol.
Brawndo has electrolites.
I take those too, but instead of the indole, I take Jarrow Broccomax.
You can also cut out Omega-6 fat sources to get a better 3/6 ratio.
Brilliant. I'm a smoker and I have some salmon in the freezer. I was planning on smoking it, wait, what? Now I'm confused.
What are the issues with DHA? I know it’s been recommended for brain health but haven’t heard much about it WRT heart health.
Good point - I’ve probably been eating too many walnuts lately.
And the occasional fast food. 😬
The Omega 3s are also found in pastured eggs and grass fed beef.
Not mixed with mercury in fatty fish.
I am screwed.
Eat your wild caught Sockeye
I read an interesting Japanese study which showed vascular Improvement within six to eight weeks for women taking K2 and Co Q10.
Because a cardiologist recommended taking selenium with Co Q10 I bought a bag of shelled Brazil nuts and eat one of those each day which is the equivalent to a good dose of selenium. It’s my favorite supplement LOL
My doc did some kind of in depth blood test on me. Told me you have 0 EPA in your system. I said what’s that? From fish oil, helps with inflammation and pain. I don’t like/eat fish. So I take 2000 mg, or however it’s measured, every day. I can’t tell any difference but it makes my doc happy so.....

Yeah, I’ve heard a lot of good things about taking K2 for a few weeks. It’s supposed to un-harden your arteries.
Yeah I first started reading about omega 6/3 ratios about 5 years ago. at the time my ratio was 20/1 in favor of the omega 6’s. So I started to supplement with fish oil. Three years ago my ratios were 4/1 in favor of omega 6’s.
A couple months ago I retested. My ratios were 1/1.
We’ll see if this does any good.
I had a check up a couple months ago that showed a build up—but not blockage—of plaque on my carotid arteries.
So now I’m taking a stack that I’ve read will remove the plaque. The stack includes
crestor. (anti inflammation)
ramapril (anti inflammation)
Niacin 2 grams time release plaque removal
d3 k2 plaque removal (specifically k2 removes calcium from arteries)
coq10 (makes up losses caused by statins)
Tadafil increases nitric oxide (improves artery and endocrine function)
l citrulline increases nitric oxide (improves artery and endocrine function)
