Okay, hold onto your hats, folks. I am about to be very controversial and politically incorrect -- all at one time:
Women are not Men.
I find it incredible that the fact that men and women are different is controversial. What is going on in this country. Of course, it could be that the insistence that as many of our children go to college for indoctrination, is now rearing its ugly head.
MY grand daughter class of 2024 started at the USNA at the age of 17. She was a little concerned about some of the swimming involved. She was in good shape having played ice hockey through youth programs and high school. She successfully tested out of the physical fitness requirements.
My Dad gave me that lesson when I was a kid in single digits. You make a fist like that, all that's gonna happen is you are going to break your thumb. I'm in my 60's now; but, I still remember that lesson.
This can only mean that the Army is misogynistic.
This is what happened in Korea in the summer of 1950. ‘This Kind of War’ is the most accessable account.
I couldn’t believe this:
<>The most difficult event for both male and female soldiers is the two-mile run, with 5% and 22% failing, respectively. The run must be completed within 21 minutes.<>
I’m almost 70 yrs old and jog (it aint running) four miles in 45 minutes.
These young people should be running no more than eight minute miles.
It will take at least 10,000 dead (probably more) in the next war ... in the first hour.
Normandy saw 4000 dead in the first hour.
I was never a runner, though I could handle long rage patrols with no problem. My usual 2 mile time was around 14 minutes, which meant I had a decent score on the PT test after maxing pushups and situps.
Several of my ROTC classmates were pushing me to go to Ranger School, but I knew my limitations: I was not confident of my ability to endure a month on one C-rat a day, getting by on about an hour of sleep per day, or running 5 miles in less than 30 minutes.
I got my Airborne wings, that was enough for me.
I didn't make it much past the first turn that year. It told me I needed to get serious about my lack of upper body strength. By my junior year, I was doing 4-5 laps on that thing. Of course, it wasn't just strength, there was a technique that counted, too.
Ping.
Pass rates for Officers: Men - 97%, Women - 95%.
NCO's: Men - 95%, Women - 65%.
Enlisted: Men - 90%, Women - 47%
Dare I say it, but women in the Army are not being held accountable by their chain of command. My goodness, over a third of NCO females failing their PT test? SMDH
In 1986 a captain in the US Army scuttled his career by releasing statistics showing that 60% of the women then graduating from basic training couldn’t throw a hand grenade far enough to be out of its burst radius and 80% couldn’t charge an M-60 machine gun from the prone position.
The darkest day in the history of the US Army was the day in 1978 when they did away with the Women’s Army Corps (the WACs) and “mainstreamed” them instead.
I served ‘65 - ‘68 ... got out and glad I did
They couldn't win a war if they wanted to... Twice and many four star generals than world war II, retirement bloat, cozy relations with 'contractors'... yeah, makes sense these thugs want to turn their guns on people who can see what they've become...
So, what matters to the modern American WOKE military?
Can women follow orders to shoot American citizens and their children?
That's important to thugs purging out our military based on political orientation...
Some of Hitler's most sadistic thugs, camp guards and killers were women... So yeah, passing 'tests' is NOT an issue.
When I came back from Germany, I went to work for my old battalion commander at Fort Bliss. Even though I was a young captain, he had enough confidence in me to be his operations officer, which was slotted for a lieutenant colonel.
Most of those generals have their own "posses", which gums up the works even more. I'm glad I never got beyond battalion level, I doubt I'd survive being at division staff.
You know what you’re talking about... thanks for sharing.
They don’t belong in congress either. ;)
Maybe all don’t unless the Huns are in the perimeter
