Not sure about in your situation (being in a different country and all!) but here, I know the seller can stipulate a possession time in the contract. Like, possession in 30 days after closing. Or, you may be able to pay the buyer an agreed-upon monthly rental amount until you can get moved.
Oh that’s a good idea - I’ve heard of renting your own place back from the buyer. Thank you for reminding me of that! Beats paying thousands to a hotel, if I can swing it.
We’ve been on both sides of “rent-back” in about three real estate transactions. It’s very common and useful. It doesn’t work for everyone, depending on situations, but it happens.

Last spring, when President Donald Trump was considering firing FBI Director Chris Wray, Attorney General Bill Barr threatened to resign in protest, a person briefed on the deliberations told Insider.
The person said Barr went to the White House for a meeting and was introduced to Bill Evanina, a top counterintelligence official in the Trump administration who had previously worked at the FBI. When Barr realized Evanina was being suggested as a replacement for Wray, he left the room.
When told of the plotting, Barr threatened to resign in protest, according to the person briefed on the deliberations.
It was the closest Wray, who has held onto his position under the Biden administration, ever came to getting fired during Trump’s tenure, the person briefed on the matter said.

China, etc - I got rid of most of my ‘fancy’ stuff years ago. But of course this new house has 2 built-in china hutches. I ended up putting pretty cookbooks on one shelf. I have about 7 more empty though, LOL!

Looks like I’m having brunch today.
Roy is SO happy, so like his old self. He ate 30 pieces of kibble this morning (yes, I count them, as I hand feed him still. He eats better that way. He has a flat face and has always had a hard time picking up kibble.)
He purrs, rolls around on the carpet, follows me around. The specialty vet clinic is reviewing his documents to see who best for him to see. I didn’t know they went through all that trouble with a referral. It’s nice to know.

We just sold a perfect prepper house. 2 wood stoves, a whole house generator, a well.
This house has none of that. We do have a water supply with the pool, lol. That’s about it.
Hubby broke my pizza oven. He was trying to put it on the concrete slab he poured and it tipped over. He said it wasn’t reparable, but I think he just didn’t want to look at it with a crack and all broken up. He doesn’t like to admit mistakes.
I’m so happy to hear this! Have you always hand fed him? I guess being a flat faced cat would make eating difficult.
