Our home in NY is in her district. She has done a very capable job representing that district. She was very young when she first got to Congress, and may have refined her perspective as she has matured.
It is becoming clear to me that Liz Cheney may be practicing a different form of conservatism than many of us.
Elise certainly can’t do a worse job than Liz as Conference Chair. Doesn’t sound like much of an endorsement, LOL, but the trick is to get Liz out and get someone in that position who will bridge the differences in the party factions.

I have two full 3 bedroom units in this house.
2 stoves, 2 friges, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers, 1 washer, 1 dryer and 1 stand-up freezer.
I have new appliances with the mobile, plus I don’t want to move them.
Plus a stainless steel Weber gas barbeque.....because I’ll be going to propane.

I don’t know much but it seems to me Chuck became Senate Majority leader because Democrats took over and Harris became VP which is another vote when needed. So that makes it 51 to 50.

But the VP’s only role in the Senate is to provide a tie-breaking vote if needed. The VP has no other Senatorial function.
They could have split Committee chairmanships, if McConnell wanted to do that. While unorthodox, it is rare to have an exact 50/50 split. The math says no one has a majority.
But McConnell is Deep State all the way, and the Dem’s agenda he gladly rolled over for.
As he has in the past.

How can that be? If I recall it was Melania who in the end convinced Trump to pick Pence as he wouldn’t be trying to compete for the Presidency as would the others. He could be trusted.
I truly believe Pence did what he honestly thought the Constitution said he had to do.
