The Queen wiped away tears and was forced to mourn alone away from her family in St George's Chapel during Prince Philip's Covid-hit Windsor Castle funeral today as she said an emotional final goodbye to her 'strength and stay' after their extraordinary 73-year life together.
Her Majesty looked grief-stricken and bowed her head in reverence as she accompanied her beloved husband's coffin on its final journey while their eldest son Prince Charles cried as he walked behind the casket into church followed by other devastated royals.
The Duke of Edinburgh's coffin was covered in his personal standard and carried his sword, naval cap and a wreath of flowers with a handwritten note from his wife as pallbearers placed him on to his extraordinary self-designed green Land Rover Defender hearse in the castle's quadrangle packed with hundreds of armed personnel.

Especially if it’s true that one of Andrew’s daughters was instrumental in setting up Markle with Harry...>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The bimbo parade force is strong with the Royals these days. That has Princess Kate’s panties all in a twist. Now the coming generations of Woke Royalty will want to select woke, buff, shapely commoners with a pre-selected politically correct gene pool, in order to bring Royalty into the age of Woke. Oprah will always help.
I’d say the Royal Windsor lineage is living on borrowed time.
And the Queen knows it. She will be the last great monarch of her line.
I think that article has more photos than all thee other articles published today put together.
We have an Emperor now...after the order of Nero...
Same here. Well said.
There is a President in the United States because a group of men in the 1700s decided that being the first born of the previous leader was a poor method of picking a country’s next leader. I agree with this premise and add that being the first born is possibly the worst method for choosing leadership. Of course the monarchy was replaced with a constitutional republic which is widely known as “the” worst form of government, except for all others.
So, I ask the question, why are their still kings and queens in the world? Of course, I know the answer and that is because people fawn over the concept and believe that a king or queen is somehow devine or God given. Also, the fact that is took a 4 year war to rid ourselves of the king of england is the real answer of why there are still kings and queens in the world. It takes guts for a population to rid themselves of such a form of government and it gets harder when there is a sweet little old lady in that position as with the UK.
So, my question was mostly retorical.
Wonder if the vaccine killed prince Philip?
Repeted countless times over this past year thanks to this COVID stupidty.
Yes, I am sure everyone there is fully vaccinated, which is why I ask yet again, why the masks then?
Which has been great for America. Until now when we have a demented old creep who actually lost an election, but the got his BLM/ANTIFA thugs to help him steal the elections.
Look, every country chooses the system that is best for them and then works out the issues with experience over the years.
Right now, I'd say The Queen is a far more legitimate head of state than Biden will ever be.
On the other hand, she could have ended the mask hysteria by not sitting alone during this ceremony. Going along with the mask hysteria just prolongs it.
Because countries like The UK, The Netherlands etc think it's good for them to have kings. It's not up to Americans to tell the British what government they should have.
Of course, I know the answer and that is because people fawn over the concept and believe that a king or queen is somehow devine or God given.
That is not the reason in England.
Also, the fact that is took a 4 year war to rid ourselves of the king of england is the real answer of why there are still kings and queens in the world.
Nope. The English King was not an American King. He was essentially a foreign ruler.
It takes guts for a population to rid themselves of such a form of government and it gets harder when there is a sweet little old lady in that position as with the UK.
It takes the will of the people. The Queen is more popular than the British Prime Minister. And the Prime Minister was elected. And Queen was not.
Everyone dies, everyone does not live. Philip lived.
An election can mean that half the country hates you. Sometimes more than half, since there are more than two parties in Britain, and it happens that someone whose party gets fewer popular votes can win more seats in Parliament and make you PM. And, of course, Britons don't vote for the PM directly, though even if they did, he'd still have his opponents.
I suppose the British think that getting rid of the monarchy would leave a large vacuum in their culture and take away a stabilizing influence in their politics. Also, it's good for tourism.

Anti-social distancing is more like it. Absolutism sucks, no matter who practices it.
I’m an Anglophile, but not in love with the Monarchy.
That said, a Range Rover instead of a horse-drawn hearse is appalling to me.
How many tears did she shed for Diana?
In reality, queen of nothing.
