Israelis celebrated on Friday when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country had signed a deal with Pfizer Inc. to buy its novel coronavirus vaccine. But the fact remains that if Pfizer succeeds – or Moderna, with whom Israel also has a contract – these will be the first-ever messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines brought to market for human patients.
In order to receive Food and Drug Administration approval, the companies will have to prove there are no immediate or short-term negative health effects from taking the vaccines. But when the world begins inoculating itself with these completely new and revolutionary vaccines, it will know virtually nothing about their long-term effects.
“There is a race to get the public vaccinated, so we are willing to take more risks,” Tal Brosh, head of the Infectious Disease Unit at Samson Assuta Ashdod Hospital, told The Jerusalem Post.
But he acknowledged that there are unique and unknown risks to messenger RNA vaccines, including local and systemic inflammatory responses that could lead to autoimmune conditions.
An article published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, a division of the National Institutes of Health, said other risks include the bio-distribution and persistence of the induced immunogen expression; possible development of auto-reactive antibodies; and toxic effects of any non-native nucleotides and delivery system components.

I should say, I have, much to my wife’s consternation, stopped wearing a mask in public. Either the vaccine works and the mask isn’t needed or I can get sick and die. I refuse to cower like a frightened animal.

I’m completely immune without your poison. Never skipped a beat. Continued to socialize, prohibition style restaurants and bars had parties. Kids came home from college with their friends. Worked out in gym, teach school. Nothing. But I will never take your poison. Natural evolutionary immunity.

So, exactly how do you know what damage might be caused in 2 to 3 days — or even 1 hour?

I am not a specialist but it seems to me that is exactly what these mRNA vaccines do. Create an auto-immune type of condition, that causes the body to create a protein that looks like CV19 in order for another biological process to attack it.
It is a recent treatment.
Covid peaked long ago.
It will take 18 mos to 3 years for the autoimmune diseases to show. By then, people won’t associate them with the covid treatment.
People will be dependent on drugs to cope.
Big Pharma will have millions of new customers.

Nope. You can't. Once it is inside you, all you can do is ride it out. People are fighting each other to get it put in them.
We will find out many things, but we cannot be sure it has wiped out covid at all. We had very few new cases last summer without a vaccine and it came roaring back in the fall/winter. What we are seeing now may just be “seasonal” like last summer. Nobody knows how long these vaccines may be effective - I suspect all the talk about booster shots and the fact that they require 2-shots spaced 4 weeks apart suggest that they know that the efficacy, if any, is short lived. It does seem that they prevent, in most cases, serious illness resulting from infection and that is a good thing. If they don’t stop the spread of disease, helping people from serious illness is good and it will spread a natural immunity among those who do catch it. But I wonder if the vaccines aren’t just buying time on a hope and prayer that the virus won’t mutate further, or will actually encourage more dangerous strains to “escape”.
It’ll be very interesting to see what happens in a year comparing those who got the jab versus those who didn’t.
The objective of both vaccines (Pfizer/ J&J) is to create spike proteins inside the recipient. It's how they do it that's different.
Pfizer uses mRNA which is like a recipe book containing the recipe for the spike protein. This is injected directly into the recipient. As I said earlier it's a short lived recipe book. It enters the cells, delivers the recipe and disintegrates within 72 hours. It does not "interfere" with the cell's DNA as the scaremongers have been saying.
J&J uses a more traditional method. Here the 'recipe' is loaded into the DNA of an unrelated virus (called adenovirus 26). This virus has been 'neutered' so it doesn't replicate or cause any harm. It simply acts as a carrier. The carrier virus carrying the recipe enters a cell and heads straight for the nucleus where the genetic machinery is. The host cell starts making spike proteins some of which sprout on its surface. The immune system which is constantly surveying the body for suspicious or unknown proteins see these and gets into action. The rest is the same.
The key difference is, with pfizer you are injecting the recipe directly into the cells. With J&J you are letting an unrelated virus act as the delivery man to carry the recipe inside the cells. The pfizer/mRNA for obvious reasons is more efficient -- and also more effective at protecting against covid (93% vs ~70% )

Everything in life involves risk and reward
I’ve had hundreds of covid visits in hospital both on covid floor and covid icu. I recommend vaccination but wouldn’t require. Not a bit worried about the longterm risk of the shot.
I seriously doubt any of the theories but I guess we will see.
