You mean like Bing Crosby and Dean Martin....can't disagree. Although I don't hear a lot of "singing" in today's so-called "music"...just a bunch of robots, junior-high girls, whining castrati and jabbering murderers.
The 60s and 70s had some good pop vocalists, and some junk. Even the bubble-gum and disco crowd could sing...Judy Collins always sang flat.
Most of the MoTown, Soul and Blues people were and still are greats, probably from Gospel training in church. Much of that got lumped in with "pop".
When I'm in the car and turn on the radio, the last thing I want to hear is "music"...especially "all your favorite hits"!

I’m afraid of most vaccines and tend to only take those that are for illnesses that would be deadly to me such as respiratory viruses. I got the Smallpox and Polio vax’s when I was little but right now all I take is the annual flu vax. I didn’t start those until after 2008. I did take the first of two pneumonia vaccines but my arm was too sore to use for two weeks and it was a month or longer before I could lift it over my head so I haven’t taken the second one.
I have seen the shingles vax advertised on TV and the list of side effects has put me off for now.
My 91 y.o. mom is staying with me also ... home health nurse came yesterday after Mother was discharged after 3 weeks from PT rehab. We got on the subject of the vaccine - the nurse said she’s not taking it either. She can’t stand Biden but thinks his wife should be locked up for letting people use him like they are. (I like this nurse).
While I was waiting to pick my mom up on Thursday they had this commercial on the vaccine looping on their tv by the receptionist’s desk. Big vaccine poster on the wall. Receptionist asked me if Mother had had “the vaccine.”
