Yes, this is a vanity, because in these times we all need a break, and thats why I come here sometimes. So...who do you choose?
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour.
I lived in the San Francisco bay area as a 17 year old in 1967. My rock listening history includes a lot of different eras and genres. So, for me, for a while, CSN was great (Suite, Judy Blue Eyes), but my tastes evolved as Rock evolved although I have to admit that I never grew to love “angry” rock. I got easily side-tracked by the pop side with people like Karen Carpenter, or the country side with Ray Stevens and his biting humor.
There are so many good musicians that have had the stage that it is hard for me to choose just one.
If I did have to choose though, it would be Phil Keaggy.
Humble Pie. With Frampton.
Well, I’m 68, but I appreciate the level of musicianship of the musicians of that era, especially Goodman.
I saw them maybe 1980/s it was billed as the last show.
They did kick ass.
I was pleasantly surprised when that movie was released. I figured it would be horrible, but it was very funny.
seen them too
Lynyrd Skynyrd https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GxWmSVv-cY
I saw Head East probably around 1978? in a little club/bar outside of Utica NY. They always had great bands perform. I also remember seeing Ian Dury and the Blockheads, and Nick Gilder there. Many more I can’t remember.
Quadrophenia was a dud live unfortunately. They had to go back to playing Tommy at their live gigs.
But the one Who concert I would have loved to have seen was the 1970 Isle of Wight Concert, because they included the best songs, that didn’t make it onto “Who’s Next”, like “Water” and “Naked Eye” and “I Don’t Even Know Myself”.
have to be Jimi for me.
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s sessions at Abbey Road.
The Tanglewood Concert from 1970 is for my the best concert video on YouTube, Terry was a force and the engine that drove the band.
been there and done that 4 times over! My favorite band, better before Lowell George passed
Lol. Well, you sure picked a great show to go back and see.
How did someone so young grow so quickly to be so wise ?
been to ACDC and Head East, Aerosmith would have been good.
