VANITY: You could go back in time and see one band live at their peak. Who do you choose?

Yes, this is a vanity, because in these times we all need a break, and thats why I come here sometimes. So...who do you choose?

My all time favorite rock band is The Who. But I’d LOVE to see Pink Floyd live, so that would be my choice. It was just more of a “multimedia” event.
Besides, I got to see The Who Live around 1970 but I never got to see Pink Floyd live.

I saw them at the Seattle Center Coliseum back in the day. Tickets were $5. It was awesome! :)

I don’t believe the beatles put on much of a show. Back then it was just a bunch of guys on stage, with some lights, and a curtain behind them.
If I’m going to see a dream show, the key word is SHOW.

Have you checked out Brit Floyd on Youtube? Simply amazing. Replicating the full show.

I never went to one, but my understanding is that Pink Floyd put on visual extravaganzas in the 80s. Lots of props&sets, lights&lazers, etc. Very high end shows for the time.

The early Pointer Sisters stuff was unappreciated at the time, but I think much better than the pop stuff they got big hits with in the 80s.

I was glad to see these names, as I am one of the VERY oldies here and all those other bands are unknown to me.

Yep. they had speakers all around the stadium/venue, and then they would cycle the sound around the stadium. I never saw/heard it, but a friend did. He described it as pretty mind blowing.

Slight off topic, but my great regret is that I was born too late and never got to hear Jenny Lind sing nor Mark Twain swear. Not sure which I would choose if I had to pick.

Buck can still rip it on guitar.
Their new album is pretty good.
I will go to see them if they come around here.
