Before the canned, predictable retort of ‘every month,’ I’ll just point out that black history has always been presented, just like white history, at least in my lifetime.
So, again I’ll ask....
Out of curiosity, I looked it up. discostu is on the right track in his post #9.
There is actually an official Italian-American Heritage Month. It’s the entire month of October. The problem, of course, is that it gets nowhere near the publicity of Black History Month.

Side note: I’m of Hungarian descent. And I could find no mention of a Hungarian-American Heritage Month. I have already mailed a letter of protest to Mr. Biden. But I wrote it in Hungarian. That was probably a mistake.
Officially its July. (Dec of independence, Gettysburg battle to free black people, white men on the moon, thanks to a white president’s challenge and white technology) but since school is out, kids cannot enjoy the greatness of the white race.

It’s all about the lobbying. Some group pushes for it and then whoever decides to do it does it. I know there’s like an online form in AZ, you can get Tech Writer Day, or whatever. Yes Black History Month gets the press, but that’s mostly generated by various black special interest groups.
On my calender March os declared “Women’s History Month.”
As for white history month? Jesse Lee Peterson has declare July “White History Month.” He says, “July just FEELS white.” Funny when he gets confronted about such a “racist” concept and even funnier when they find out he is black. Like Larry Elder getting called out for his “white privilege.”
The problem is that there even is a “black history month.” There is American History, and that includes all Americans. Dividing Americans into warring tribes is their goal, and they do it by assigning labels: White, black, native American, Hispanic, Asian, etc.
Oh well crud. I sort of predicted it because it isn’t on my calendar. I’m sooo burned out from the ever present woke.

He was for American history, not black history.
And when asked by Mike Wallace how to eliminate racism in this country, Freeman replied. "....to stop talking about it."
You misconstrue what Freeman was saying by only taking a small snippet and inferring something that he didn't mean.
Hispanics also get May: Cinco de Mayo, as well as September: Mexican Independence Day.
They don’t really get May. Mexicans don’t care about Cinco de Mayo. Mexican beer companies love it. Mexicans could give a crap.

Morgan Freeman goes on to say that every month is basically Black History Month because "black history is American history."
