Yes, cabinets only. No countertop, no backsplash, no flooring. The 3000 was just for installation, we would remove the old cabinets. The only good thing about getting brand new cabinets has we get to keep the old ones. It would be too expensive to try to find cabinets anywhere else for the shop, basement, garage.

Well, at that price, my kitchen might just stay un-remodeled!! I played with a calculator I found at Lowes; it came up with $6000 for cabinets (cheapest builder grade in a white paint for 9x11 L-shape) and $800 for laminate countertop. So probably around $12,000 plus labor for what I would want to do.
Not sure I’d recoup that cost when I sell. I think that kind of money could be better spent spread out over several other projects.
It’s amazing what a coat of paint will do for sprucing up kitchen cabinets.

Couple things:
ALL mobile homes meet code requirements.
You say “farm”. If you’re in a agriculture zoned location it is extremely unlikely that mobile homes arem’t allowed there.
Easy to check, even my podunk county has it’s zoning map online and also their code on what’s allowed on what zone.
Water, sewage, and electric should be your only possible issues with “the government”.

catching up. I havent been here for several days and yours is the first post I see. My “reasons/excuses” - life a lot more complicated now than in past and frankly I realize Im a whole lot more depressed re: Biden/stolen election/demise of our country than I realized. A struggle between being overwhelmed and then stepping back and saying - hey YES .. God wins in end.
Jen on vacay this week. Her birthday falls on her first day back to work on Monday. Im having a small surprise birthday party for her...when she gets home from work. most of invitees are lefties and Im glad for once I am hard of hearing. A few neighbors invited, few friends from growing up and a few family members of her family including sister from VT, cousins from NYC and chicago, her mom and aunt. Jen’s dad is still in rehab center.
Still working as much as possible on the raccoon home front. With no transportation, poor physical health, no $$, and all friends old and infirm, things do move slowly.
I have one friend - my former massage therapist at chiropractors - helping me.. bartering. Strong body builder. he’ll get whatever he wants in house for his time and labor. win / win. so far he’s gotten a smittering of items including kayaks, generator, lawn mowers. He is 10 years younger than me and a strong christian and strong conservative politically. His wife is my age and has a lot of health issues.
well, Im up early.. busy day yesterday and also pain filled with scoliosis and shingles neuralgia both doing a number on me, Had our handyman over yesterday for a couple hours. Many of you have spouses, kids to help with “honey do” lists.. we dont

Have enough proceed money for money into new vehicle for both Jen and me (which means I will have wheels) My van currently in complex parking lot. One flat wheel, battery dead, no power steering and the great climate globalists deem it unfit to drive due to catalytic converter issues. No problem if you have 3K $ to soak into it.
having wheels this summer... big road trip.. 6 or more weeks.. heading south first. (haven’t seen my son in 5 years... no estrangement, just both with profound medical issues and $$$ issues as a result).. want to get to see you...

OMG.. I LOVE your old kitchen... NO NO NO NO updates needed by me. love your counter space and cupboards.. I am in a small galley kitchen in Jen’s condo. NO storage and very little counter space. Okay if one just plops a frozen TV dinner type offering in Microwave.. but for we serious cooks.. well difficult
I have a LOT of good stuff to bring here to Jen’s still.. EXPENSIVE china and crystal/ alhambra/Franscian dinnerware/ silver/silver plate. My artwork (that hasn’t been destroyed by resident raccoons is really nice stuff.. expensive.
