Former Trump attorney Powell defends self against a $2.5 billion Smartmatic defamation lawsuit
“Smartmaticâs desperate attempt to suggest I was a part of a civil conspiracy to harm the company is not only false but also still does not allow me to be sued in New York,” Powell said Thursday in a statement. “Smartmatic fails to even remotely allege any way that I was a part of a conspiracy. And for the record, I was not.”

Supreme Court Blocks Californiaâs Restrictions on In-home Religious Gatherings
The courtâs narrow 5â4 ruling was in favor of a group of Santa Clara residents who asserted the restrictions violated the First and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
âApplicants are likely to succeed on the merits of their free exercise claim; they are irreparably harmed by the loss of free exercise rights âfor even minimal periods of timeâ; the State has not shown that âpublic health would be imperiledâ by employing less restrictive measures,â an unsigned opinion of the courtâs majority said in its opinion.
The ruling is the fifth time the nationâs highest court has overruled the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on California COVID-19 fueled restrictions, including a February ruling that saw the court grant a worshipperâs application asking for restrictions on in-person religious services be rolled back.
âIt is unsurprising that such litigants are entitled to relief. Californiaâs Blueprint System contains myriad exceptions and accommodations for comparable activities, thus requiring the application of strict scrutiny,â the majority wrote on Friday.
Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett made up the majority.
Chief Justice John Roberts, another Republican-nominated justice, joined the courtâs liberal wing in dissenting, though he did not sign on to the dissenting opinion authored by Justice Elena Kagan.

Supreme Court rules 5-4 against Gavin Newsome’s restrictions on church gatherings.
Roberts voted with the libs of course.
Clarification: the SC ruling in CA was against COVID restrictions on home prayer meetings.
This is a great compilation of failed climate change predictions. All with the newspapers and documents that put out the failed predictions.
Yet they are still doubling down with this communist plot.

Melania And Donald Trump Pay Tribute To Prince Philip, Send Condolences To Queen; Twitter Reacts
Melania Trump and former President Donald Trump have paid tribute to Prince Philip after Buckingham Palace announced that the Duke of Edinburgh died at Windsor Castle on Friday at age 99.
Shortly after the palace’s announcement, the former first lady and her husband sent their deepest condolences to Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family for their loss.
“President Trump and I extend our deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Family, and the people of Great Britain as the world mourns the loss of Prince Philip,” read the message posted via Melania’s Twitter account.
The tweet received mixed reactions on the platform. While some Twitter users appreciated her extending support to the Queen, Melania referring to her husband as “president” raised some eyebrows.
Obama’s twitter account still lists him as ‘President’ and they don’t seem to mind, so they can stick it where the sun don’t shine!
Target sells Woke Prayer Book: âDear God, Please help me to hate White people.â
A prayer book called âA Rhythm of Prayer: A Collection of Meditations for Renewal,â is a number one bestseller on Amazon in the category âmeditationâ.
One prayer, called âPrayer of a Weary Black Woman,â by Dr. Chanequa Walker-Barnes, a theology professor at Mercer University, starts:
âDear God, Please help me to hate White people. Or at least to want to hate them⌠I want to stop caring about their misguided, racist souls, to stop believing that they can be better, that they can stop being racist.â
The âprayerâ then describes the type of White person they want to hateâ not the actual blatantly racist ones, but the âwolves in sheepâs clothingâ who âdonât see colorâ, are friendly and accepting on the surface.
âLord, if it be your will, harden my heart. Stop me from striving to see the best in people. Stop me from being hopeful that White people can do and be better. Let me imagine them instead as white-hooded robes standing in front of burning crosses. Let me see them as hopelessly unrepentant, reprobate bigots who have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and who need to be handed over to the evil one.â
âGrant me a Get Out of Judgment Free Card if I make White people the exception to your commandment to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.â
This is a sick, insane, religious cult of hateful people. But institutions like churches, schools, and corporations are pushing this blatant racism mainstream.
The book is also available at Targetâ a store which banned a book that gave voice to transgender people who regretted their decisions to transition.
But hatred of white people is perfectly acceptable

Sandbags! Very interesting. Are they expecting lots of rain and the storm drains overflowing?
“Richard Citizen Journalist has done a video of the Mall and ALL the new sod over the areas that have been recently dug for the electric for the CrimeEye Public Safety Video Solutions....cameras!! “
Do you have a link to that video? I only saw the one above that you posted.
P.S. you have mail.
“Melania referring to her husband as âpresidentâ raised some eyebrows.”
OMG! Ex-Presidents (to some he still is) but to the point all the ex’s are still referred to as President.
I am sick of the people who have such deep hate for President Trump they will find any little thing to gripe about.
DC is expecting rain tomorrow, according to the forecast.
From what I saw of Richard’s video (he needs better skills) the sandbags are around the underground subway system electrical areas. And you can see standing water on the mall while Richard’s slinging his camera around.
I found pictures of the same thing back in 1999 but can’t post them because they’re Getty images. That area is prone to flooding, thus the levee system around there.
