FWIW- I’m self-diagnosing about the acid reflux issue.

I’m okay anytime except when laying down... and eating late at night.

I took to propping myself up by literally sleeping with my head on the armrest of the Futon that I sleep on (with support) to keep the bile at bay whenever it gets untenable.

I’m feeling really good about:

1- not eating late
2- not eating hard to digest food
3- consuming easily and quickly digestible juices in lieu of typical/normal food

OK- thanks everyone for your very thoughtful comments. I think that I have educated myself (enough) by posting outward and getting good feedback. (no pun intended)

Back in the day- (junior high) my friend and I would listen to the local AM radio station at night when he would sleepover. “The Shadow Knows” used to come on once a week late at night, but the exact time eludes me. We would also call into a sports show in an effort to try and win a cheeseburger from a local burger joint.

My lone burger victory came when I answered the question: who was the player to score the most points in an NBA game (back then)? Answer- Pistol Pete Maravich of the New Orlean Jazz. I think lots of people knew the answer and I probably won because my call was answered first.
