Yesterday Biden was saying with Stimulus money people can pay rent, I can’t pay my rent with a small amount, even his son can’t. Need a much bigger check.

All that happens to them now is they spend years in office, sucking at the public teat, getting wealthy with back door dealings, getting their kids set up for life, then eventually retiring (if they don’t die first in office) to huge pensions and enough money to never have to think about how to spend it. Quite the gig. Not exactly the definition of “servant”. (Insert swear word of your choice here)

Those politicians have such a low opinion of us commoners, to think that $1400 will put a dent in our financial obligations. Especially for people like you that live in high rent areas.

So I came back from grocery store grouchy and tired. My underwear and pants falling off, no in store coupons printed, banged my elbow and arm on plastic shield putting groceries on the checkout, and then they charged me for large avocados instead of small!
Threw out my underwear, but I did wait till I got home, guess I need to buy non stretch denim pants or something, took picture of missing coupon and it worked, too tired to get avocado justice.

...so my wife and I are picking up a few groceries in East TN this morning, and a woman approaches us in the parking lot after we come out. Although she can't (or won't) speak English, she present a 4 x 6 index card detailing her woes in English...'unemployed...three starving children...needs money (specifically $20..), yada, yada. Fortunately, I do not trust ANYONE (was she from the CDC?), and we kept her at a distance. My wife (who is a bit more compassionate) wanted to know if I wanted to give her money. My response? HELL, NO! We shooed her away, and went about our business. My only regret was not going back in to the store so they could get her off the property before she wound up robbing somebody.
My question...do Freepers (or anyone else) run into this very often in border states? (Of course, we are ALL border states now.) I found it interesting that this happens just as the 'stimulus' money is hitting the banks in East TN.
