Right? If cancel culture was ridding us of actual garbage from society, I think I’d be on board in some ways.
I used to do my own little secret cancel culture thing when the kids were young (sadly, it didn’t work). When we went to the library and pulled out blatant anti-God books (like the lavender mafia books, the occult books, etc.) I used to put them back on the shelf a little two far, and sideways. Darned if they always didn’t fall down the big crack, where nobody knew and could see them and find them. I may have been a little over-zealous in those days.

Reubens are the BEST sandwiches ever. Gee, I haven’t had a good Reuben in a long time. I think I’ll go on the hunt for somewhere around here that will do a take-out Reuben.
I just made a big pot of turkey soup with rice last night. I am going to be eating that for days, and I’m kind of sick of it already because I had just roasted the turkey and eaten some of that.
I guess the Reuben will have to wait until all of this turkey slop is gone.
Oh yum! So do I, lysie! That’s a beaut! Complete with the marble rye and pickles. I could even eat one for breakfast!

I’m a creature of habit. When I go to a restaurant with a Reuben, that’s what I get (second choice is a patty melt). If it’s Chinese, it’s beef and broccoli.
I’m trying to use up stuff that’s just hanging around in the cabinets and freezer. I have some leftover dried lentils I’m going to turn into soup, if I can just find the recipe for it again; it called for just the right amount for my leftovers. But some other things lingering around might be thrown in as well...

Former President Donald Trump, via his 45 Office mail drop, slammed the Biden administration’s immigration stance Friday, saying security is “totally out of control.” Here is the unedited statement from the former president:

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
“Our border is now totally out of control thanks to the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden. Our great Border Patrol and ICE agents have been disrespected, demeaned, and mocked by the Biden Administration. A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute. Many have criminal records, and many others have and are spreading covid. Interior enforcement has been shut down—criminals that were once promptly removed by our Administration are now being released back onto the street to commit heinous and violent crimes. ICE officers are desperate to remove these convicted criminals, but Biden won’t let them.
The spiraling tsunami at the border is overwhelming local communities, depleting budgets, crowding hospitals, and taking jobs from legal American workers. When I left office, we had achieved the most secure border in our country’s history. Under Biden, it will soon be worse, more dangerous, and more out of control than ever before. He has violated his oath of office to uphold our Constitution and enforce our laws.
There has never been a time on our southern border like what is happening now but more importantly, what is about to happen. Now that Biden has implemented nationwide Catch-and-Release, illegal immigrants from every corner of the Earth will descend upon our border and never be returned. You can never have a secure border unless people who cross illegally are promptly removed.
I had a great relationship with Mexico, and its wonderful president, but all of that has been dissipated by the gross incompetence and radicalism of the people currently in charge. The Remain in Mexico Policy was incredible, but immediately abandoned by Biden, probably because it worked so well. Likewise, our Safe Third Agreements in Central America were extraordinarily successful, so Biden foolishly ditched them too. We stopped payment of the hundreds of millions of dollars paid to them and then developed an excellent relationship that made our country and their countries more secure. We put in place powerful rules and procedures to stop the smuggling and trafficking, but the Biden Administration has abandoned these proven strategies and instead given the smugglers and traffickers effective control of our border.
Despite being delayed by years of litigation and politics by the democrats, the wall is almost finished and can be quickly completed. Doing so will save thousands of lives.
The Biden Administration must act immediately to end the border nightmare that they have unleashed onto our Nation. Keep illegal immigration, crime, and the China Virus out of our country!”
Sure they will, because they're told so by the puppet mouthpieces. If CNN shows it or AP reports it, it is golden fact. Period. The propaganda machine is in full working order and the drones smugly feel well-informed and superior as they buy into it.
I am so distressed by this illegal alien situation ... at the very best they are all trespassers. If they earn any money, they are liars, identity thieves, and/or tax cheats. And I am angry about giving them driver's licenses. I am so annoyed by my neighbor's argument that we want them to drive safely ... pah. There are legal ways of driving in a foreign country without getting a national license there. When my family travels, they go with an international drivers license if they intend to rent a car. The mechanisms are already in place for honest people to function in this country. I don't buy any of this nuanced talk about law-abiding apart from crossing the border illegally.
SO frustrating.
Mexico needs to sue Biden.
