I wanted to share a very frustrating conversation with my Mother (81 years old) yesterday. Granted she can only use a flip phone and only listens to liberal news. I told her to maybe flip on Fox news (for some truth now and again).
She was always A D voter and I was surprised she voted for T the first time. But yesterday she was going on about how T was a liar and Biden is bring us back together with our “Allies” .
I asked her - so do you think Biden doesn’t lie? She said no. I said do you know he cost 30,000 jobs first day on job? -she asked how? I said he lied about fracking, the pipeline and coal. Her reply “ well I am not sure about that”. UGH
Then I told her, how biblical is is to allow 7 year olds to decided to change their x to y? When they aren’t old enough to have a beer? or want about funding planned parent hood? - “well i guess”
Then I asked her if she had like Obozo, she said he was ok. (I know she didn’t not like him that well). I said well this is his 3rd term.
I then said did you know Xiden has signed 50 EO’s - “what’s an EO”. Executive order Mom. And you can bet if T has signed that many in first month he would of been called a dictator. My husband is 82 and can only use a flip-phone so I feel ya’. He gets his news from emails, and me. I don’t know if I’m winning or not but he’s really smart and has his mind. He loves Trump and is ready to fight for him so I guess I’m winning.
My experience is that Canadians are among the world’s most heavily indoctrinated and misinformed people on earth, not including the Canadians on this site, of course. The media’s attacks on the people on the right are much more subtle here, and therefore insidious and harder to overcome. They don’t resort to the obvious ridicule and outlandish characterization and accusations that we see on the network news in the US. They insert demeaning adjectives into their nuanced “analysis” that obliquely criticize the subject (e.g. PDJT), and the non-discerning or single source news consumers walk away with the same opinion as the talking head.
This Penny woman is just another one of the ignorant ones so her opinions and writings hold no attraction for me. On the contrary, that she’s friends with HRC fills me with such disdain that I’d openly snub her if we met.
The lasting thing the past 5 years have taught me is that there are very few people in the public eye who deserve our high regard. The majority of them have been co-opted as mouthpieces for the left’s propaganda. Ms Penny is one of them.

I don’t remember ever getting any kind of system test text message to my cell phone, other than the ones that my employer sends from time to time. These have increased.
I am assume these were text messages.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary David Pekoske directed in a memorandum on Jan. 20 “an immediate pause on removals of any noncitizen with a final order of removal … for 100 days.” Texas officials sued, alleging the pause violated an agreement between the state and the federal government reached during the Trump administration, and that the Department of Homeland Security has a responsibility to promote the removal of illegal aliens.
Tipton said Tuesday that arguments by Texas officials that they would incur financial costs from having to detain immigrants who otherwise would have been deported and from an increase in unaccompanied children requiring public education were legitimate.
