Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.

Love mine too. When all that cast iron is finally heated up, the radiant heat warms the kitchen end of our old house. I baked a maple glazed ham in it yesterday- there is something about the aroma of that, mixed with a bit of the woodsmoke that escapes when I add a piece to the firebox. Coming in from the frigid outdoors and smelling that is something that is hard to describe.

This is not a controlled rolling outage. No electric all night and most of the day. We’ve had maybe 6 hours of electricity since Sunday night.
Thank goodness we have a gas stove (that we’ve been warned not to use for heat) and neighbors with a fireplace.
This is pretty much BS. Two blocks over friends report they have had no loss of service as have other friends in various parts of town, mostly those near schools (closed schools I should add)

the local power company/distributor/co-op - whatever does the local distribution, should have a legitimate rolling blackout plan in place whereby they will trip distribution line breakers for a designated time period (1/2 hour, 1 hour, whatever), then put it back on and take a different distribution line out. So that all customers share the burden, but have some power to keep essential heat in the house.
It sounds to me like either there’s another underlying problem affecting your particular area, or they aren’t cycling the burden from one line to another.
20 percent of all Texas power is from so-called renewables i.e. windmills and solar panels. Frozen windmills and snow covered solar panels don’t create much energy.

Permanent flight restrictions: there are a few of them that are non-military, not many. Places like Disney World, George W Bush’s house, Washington DC. The are a lot of fleeting temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) that come and go. Most of those are for security like a VIP visit or a natural disaster area. They also go up for space flight ops. There are also permanent military operations areas. Those are different. There are a lot of them.
Yes, presently, Texas has some 21,000 MW of wind power capacity. They are, based on real time numbers from ERCOT, generating 3317 with wind. One thing to note with wind - if it isn’t blowing, it doesn’t matter if the generators ice up.
I’m in the power industry - I’ve seen wind at another large entity go as low as 2000 MW, and a couple of days later, in excess of 15,000. Depends on whether it’s blowing or not.
Wind power is a nice little supplement, but every single watt of power from a source like wind has to be backed up by something more reliable. That’s just the way it is.
Texas isn’t the only entity that has gotten caught with a massive shortage of wind.
It sounds like that’s not the only issue though - word is, gas supplies have dwindled (low line pressure, unavailable due to so much demand).
Also, it may have priced itself to unavailability. Imagine you have a power plant and you produce power independently. Suppose you sell it to the grid for $30 per megawatt hour. Suppose the price of gas goes up way past that rate, so that you’d have to sell for $150/MWH to break even, but your contract is for $30. What would you do? I know what I’d do - either pay enough to cover my costs to generate or I’m shutting down. Not saying that is happening, but it’s a possibility. Gas is high. Last weekend, our coal fleet, even the more expensive units, were cheaper than combined cycle gas generation for the first time in a good while.
Too bad everyone is getting rid of coal as fast as possible.
