I could set a non kill trap but have resisted the temptation.

For some inexplicable reason (or maybe it’s intentional) the neighborhood cats come over to our house and defecate under the vehicles in the driveway, and they climb up into the engine compartments.

You might be on to something... I think the cats know that the dogs in our house are harmless because we do not let them run free (one won’t come back for 24 hours or more if it escapes, if it comes back at all) and so they must feel compelled to tease, taunt, leave their marks, intimidate, etc. (azz-holes)

My brother set a no kill trap and caught one cat and took it to his construction job site and released it into the wild (sort of) about 15 miles away from our neighborhood.

We called the city and they said that they get over 200 complaint calls a month for stray cats. They said for us to catch the cats, have them neutered and then release them back into the neighborhood. Of course this is to be done on our dime. Uh- no.

So here we are with the great cat and dog war raging on with no end in sight.

I have an idea... some kind of electrified metal plate put under the vehicles with cat food bait to tempt them into the trap of sorts. It would be nonlethal like the amount of electricity that flows through an electric fence to keep livestock at bay.

I could do the same thing with the back masonry wall. Set metal electrified plates on top of each end of the wall and after getting zapped a couple of times I’m sure the kitty cats would have to find a new route through the neighborhood.

I might have to get up early more often. I’m getting some good ideas out of this mothballed brain of mine.

Good thinking.

I got up so early today (for my routine) that I am fading fast and might get a quick nap in, except I see that Steve Bannon is due on in 15 minutes so that won’t cut it. Time for another cup of covfefe!

I hope you both are OK. Sometimes whiplash doesn’t hurt immediately.

Cats don’t like walking on aluminum foil. That might work on the fence.

This is what makes me the most angry about the Cuamo thing,

“But instead of a mea culpa to the grieving family members of more than 13,000 dead seniors or the critics who say the Health Department spread COVID-19 in the care facilities with a March 25 state Health Department directive that nursing homes admit infected patients, DeRosa tried to make amends with the fellow Democrats for the political inconvenience it caused them.

COVID-19 deaths in NY nursing homes were 50 percent higher than claimed: probe
“So we do apologize,” she said. “I do understand the position that you were put in. I know that it is not fair. It was not our intention to put you in that political position with the Republicans.”

Their only concern with everything they do is political, not caring about what happens to people. And that’s everything they do.

Biden Considering Stronger Travel Restrictions On Red States Than On Mexico

President Joe Biden is reportedly considering domestic travel restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus variants while effectively opening the nation’s borders to unvetted foreign trespassers.

“This is a war and we’re at battle with the virus. War is messy and unpredictable, and all options are on the table,” an anonymous White House official told the Miami Herald, singling out Florida, where a third of all strains of the U.K. variant found in the U.S. has been identified.

The new president has made undoing his predecessor’s legacy on immigration the hallmark of his first 100 days in office. Of the whopping 29 executive orders recorded by the Federal Register, at least five have targeted President Donald Trump’s policies on immigration, including a halt on construction of the southern border wall. Walls, meanwhile, still surround the U.S. Capitol to protect politicians from alleged domestic threats they have been unable to prove.

The New York Times reports that illegal entrants in Texas are not being screened for COVID unless they show detectable symptoms and are being released indefinitely into the United States instead of returned to their home countries:

Health authorities in San Diego have ruled that those crossing into California must remain at the hotel for 10 days before being allowed to go onward. There is no similar quarantine requirement in Texas for migrants who arrive with no coronavirus symptoms, according to volunteers working with the migrants; there, they said, those released by Border Patrol are being allowed to board buses and travel to other destinations.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended 59 migrants warehoused near a Texas stash house near the Mexican border.

McAllen Border Patrol Station agents responded to information about a suspected human smuggling stash house operation near Mission, Texas, according to a tweet from Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings.

Responding agents found a small travel trailer with 59 people packed inside. It is not clear from the tweet if the migrants were wearing masks at the time of discovery. Border Patrol did eventually provide PPE.

Hastings said his agents are finding these types of conditions across the RGV Sector.

In January, RGV Border Patrol agents apprehended a total of 17,506 migrants who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry, according to the Southwest Border Migration Report released late Wednesday night. This represents 23 percent of the more than 75,000 migrants apprehended in January in the nine southwest border sectors.

More than 13,000 of the migrants apprehended in the RGV Sector in January are reported to be single adults. This is followed by 2,119 Unaccompanied Alien Children and 1,927 Family Migrant Unit Aliens, the report indicates.

BARIS: Joe Biden is only at about 48% popularity. Other firms in the industry are inflating his numbers due to known flaws in their polling.

Back home for a while. Thanks for your concern. I’ll watch out for any new pain caused by the accident. So far, nothing unusual...get my drift? Old pain?? New pain?? ;-)
